We custom ordered 3 garage doors and 2 gates from ***** Ziegler at Ziegler Doors in ************ for $37,550. In Sept. 11, 2022, the back gate electronic lock jammed and we could not lock it (see photo). This gate leads into our property so we had to use a broom to secure it (see photo). On Sept. 27, ***** sent his crew to replace the broken lock with a temporary standard deadbolt while he ordered a new electronic lock. I text him repeatedly over the next three months and he finally responds on Dec. 13 that "as soon as I can receive the replacements, I can change them." He said he would speak to his rep and noted that pieces are hard to get these days. After no text responses for a month, on Jan. 6, he sends his crew back, with the old, broken lock that had been knocking around in a plastic bag. I complained to ***** and he said his crew misunderstood and that they would return the next day with a new one, which they did not. On Jan. 11, after I threaten to take action, he sends his crew with a new lock that didn't fit my door and was bronze, not black. He says he will order the correct one. After not responding to my texts, on Jan. 20, I left him a VM and text that threatened taking action. He finally texts and says he is waiting for a replacement. On Feb. 15, I give him an ultimatum and he texts that his mother-in-law passed away and he is out of the office but he will have his office get back to me with an update. I have not heard from his office or him. The resolution I am seeking is for him to replace the Emtek Electronic Lock and handle with the exact model that broke and install it. I paid him $650 for both in the original order. If he is unable to do this, I would like an immediate refund and cost to hire a locksmith to install it. It has been almost 6 months, with unacceptable communication to resolve this issue.
