My child had a monthly membership and attended camp at Firestorm. During camp on 6/23/22, my child was involved in an incident with another child. My child was in the wrong. When a staff member asked to speak with my child, he ran away from the staff member out of fear. The staff member escalated the event to the point where he physically put his hands on my child and forcefully moved him. My wife happened to walk into the gym at the moment to see the staff member verbally berating our child. The staff member began apologizing profusely for losing his temper. The next day we received an email from Firestorm documenting the events, which included blatant lies about what transpired, including that a staff member calmly but firmly picked **** up from under his armpits and moved him to the office because he was trying to run from the building. He was not in fact trying to run from the building or putting anyones safety at risk. He was simply refusing to move from the safe, out of the way location he was standing in.We asked for a face to face meeting with management and the owner and requested to see the video footage of the event so that we could all be on the same page. We noted that we hoped for a positive resolution for everyone.Instead, we received an email that our children (including one who had nothing to do with this) were banned from the gym.We are writing this review because we do not want to see any other child physically or verbally assaulted by staff at this facility anymore. Instead of addressing a problem with abusive behavior toward a children, the management thought they could blame the whole thing on a child and then just get rid of us.Please remain aware.
