For several weeks I have been getting calls and text on my phone and my husbands phone from a **************** saying I owe Loan Now over $5000 and it will be filed in the courts in my county the next day, they have my complete SSN and part of my name correct but the living address, place of employment, my bank name, email address and everything else is incorrect. All they gave me was the name of the ** which was Loan Now and account # *******, when I call the number I found for Loan Now it is answered by Optima Tax Relief. They are using my name from my first husband from over 17 years ago, and told me it was my place to do the leg work and figure it out but it would be in my best interest to file a police report but how do you do that when you do not have any information to give them?Initial Complaint

Over the past month - May 2024 - I have received 3 auto dial phone calls regarding collections on Loan Now's behalf (First Point **************************** for a loan in 2015 that I did not take out. When I reached out to LoanNow and FPSMC, I am being told that a civil judgement will be filed in the county I reside. When I asked for information on company letterhead to be sent to myself or my attorney, I am told that only communication may be sent from their legal department via text or email. When I reached out to LoanNow, my call was forwarded to Optima Tax relief, why I have no idea. There has been nothing on my Credit Reports dealing with either of these companies.
