I am writing to the Santa Barbara BBB to file a complaint against John Kuhn, owner of fvllssion Pool Tables. My husband and I put our Andrew Gille pool table on consignment with John when we moved from our home on May 4, 2016. John put in writing at that time that he would pay us $3000 when the table sold. I contacted him several years later on May 12, 2020 as I hadn't heard back and assumed he hadn't sold the table yet. He called me back a few days later and said he had sold the table on June 24, 2018 and had mailed us the check. I told him that as we had moved since then (which is why we consigned the table), we never received the check. He said he would check to see if the check had cleared and get back to me. I then left him several phone messages on 6/2/20, 6/4/20, and 6/24/20. He sent us a letter dated June 27, 2020 saying he had been In the hospital and that he would send us a replacement check "between September to October" and would call me "when able to send". I then mailed him a letter on August 3, 2020 acknowledging his promise to pay us back in full. We then received a check for $1500 on October 2, 2020 with a memo on it saying" 112 on due/Nov. balance". Since then, we have not heard back from him regarding the remainder of the payment of $1500 still owed to us. I have called him multiple times and left messages on his store answering machine on these dates: 10/2/20, 10/6/20, 11/12/20, 1/4/21 2/25/21 and 4/21/21. On 9/6/21 I left a message with his employee Joonyou and emailed him that same day. I have also tried calling the store on other occasions and haven't left messages as no one ever picks up. I just called him on January lOth, to no avail.
