A lot of the info here was wrong as well as not helpful I paid a dollar to pull my file and name and get charged 29.99 two weeks later.they just asked me to pay a dollar and nothing more I will not use this service again

This is clearly a scam, but it is a scam that wants to live a long life. A lot like a virus, it wont kill you, but it will be difficult for you to stop it -- and because they seemed to have followed some rules, they won't be sued out of existence. I saw this very small (4.94) charge on my account, from a company I had never heard of (search public records). Nothing came up in my email history about that company, So I found the website with that name, and searched by the information on the site: 1-8-0-0-719-2498 *** ***** ** ***** ****, Santa Barbara, CA 93109, USA There is no form to cancel a membership, certainly if you don't login. They do allow email or phone methods. So I try to log in. I click forgot my password, type in my email, and it can't find it. I click on the reassuring BBB icon, and it comes up as Blocked! So I call the number. They answered fast. My information was retrieved (probably by a combination of my phone number and the company name). And I was able to cancel the account. A receipt was sent to my email. So I took the email from the receipt and searched, and sure enough - the welcome letter was under "Public Information Services": 1-8-0-0-617-3169 **** ********* ***** ***** ** ***** Goleta, CA 93117 So the reason I consider this a scam is that by changing their name and phone number in their correspondence (BTW, no other email was sent from them), and by having different account domains (each web site seems to have its own database), they are adding layers of obfuscation. This was much lighter than some others I have dealt with, and the phone call was quick. But it still felt like they were hiding, and simply have a friendly way to let people leave. A nice scam, if you will. I have no idea how to determine if they are a good product. Thus 2 stars. One star would be for a horrible disconnect experience.

Site said free- kept saying free. Then wants my cc info to charge “ one dollar”- which isn’t free- and then subscribes you…. Totally false advertising.

Haven't even had any reports sent to me yet....why?.....well my email address changed over a year ago....when I type in my new email....it doesn't accept it....oopssss,!...they're using 2020's email...I don't have access to my old live.com address anymore so why would I have the reports sent there.....so....bye bye ?? bye ??

I have been a customer for over a year. I find this company to be very adequate and accurate with information that I have requested. The monthly fee may be a bit costly but so are other companies. Using any search engine may take awhile to learn but the overall result for the end user is terrific. Sure you may take some time to learn to use the app efficiently but it is no different than any other new app to ;earn to use effectively and efficiently. Spend the time to learn the app and the results will be satisfying. Using any search platform is not the easiest thing to use, but using one can be extremely effective. I would say that learning how to do reliable, effective, efficient, accurate searches is a skill that requires time to acquire. Like a fine wine. One must first learn. This platform has never let me down and I find the cost to be well worth it!

Ask you for the report. Said is free I don't need account just the report...don't play with peoplejust said is not free

The information was incorrect. Kept jumping to another person disregarding the information I put in.

Online public records search engine,others try to charge you much more and get the same information as this one,I paid $1 here and got what I need.

Typical ****** records site. Except this one has you jump through so many more hoops, much more wait time before it finally asks you for money. Crappy business model if you ask me, I don’t know who gets conned into this but I’d be more likely to pay it if you told me up front, not after 10 minutes of waiting and filling forms out.

Dates are incorrect all through the report, some, a lot of the information was incorrect on my personal records
