      I signed up for a free trial. The code they sent didnt work. Then they said they couldnt process my payment ( thing wrong with the card). I cancelled on the spot. Figured I was safe as they couldnt process payment. Lo and behold a month later a charge shows up, been dealing with them and their payment service paddle. Each one says the other needs to fix it. Now theyve ghosted me for over a week and have not replied to any of my messages. Stay away!

      They use really awful business practices to make it extremely difficult to cancel your account. They should be fined for this-- it is criminal. They are basically stealing customers money.

      Do not subscribe to products from this company...you may be unable to cancel your subscription. I paid for a subscription for "Clean my mac" and "Gemini 2." It continued to charge me automatically each year, which I understood was going to happen. However, I went to cancel my subscription several days before it was set to renew this year and their webpage would not allow me to access the page where one could view and change billing details or cancel my subscription. I tried multiple times on different devices to open the billing details page and continued to be blocked. I contacted support and they gave be directions, which I followed (did not fix it). When I informed them that it still did not work, they replied with another set of directions (stating that the first instructions were old instructions). I followed the new and cumbersome instructions to no avail. I told them that I still could not access the cancelation option. No response for a few days. As the renewal date approached, I ended up contacting my payment method and blocked any further payments to this company.

      Do not fall for this! This is social engineering at its best. This product looks like it could be of help, in cleaning your Mac, but... It's all a scam. It will interfere with the Mac OS system. Creating problems tricking the customer into thinking there could be an issue. The customer uses the programs, the program fixes the issue. Tricking the customer into it actually "works" Please avoid this product and let Mac take care of itself. If Apple doesn't endorse it, don't use it.

      Had an issue where I purchased one license but somehow got billed for two. I never used the second license and when I contacted customer service, they simply told me "well, you purchased two licenses. Next time don't purchase more licenses than you need". They just took my money and did not even honor it. I didn't even request a refund but rather for them to extend my license until next year. Was assisted by someone from customer service who had a very snarky attitude and little customer service skills. I won't be renewing my license with them due to this issue which could have easily been solved. Hopefully those $40 I paid for which I did not get a license can be used towards education and better training to assist customers. As you can see from other reviewers, they have issues billing people for product they are not buying which is illegal. If I find one more billing for something I did not buy, I will take legal action against them as that is stealing without buyers being able to prove they did not make the purchase and customer service will not honor it but rather have someone jump on the customer service chat and brush you off with a snarky attitude.

      Their business is money grabbing, not cleaning your Mac. Never trust an auto-renewal company. It's not for your convenience. If you want to renew, you will. When I tried to cancel, my account suddenly 'couldn't be found'. They also conveniently didn't reply to my support email requesting cancellation. All part of their plan, because the next day I could login, just in time to see they'd billed me for the year.Disgraceful company with a pathetic way to earn a living. I can't trust them or their software. Find an alternative from an *************** company.

      I have used this service for years. The service itself is a decent enough product and the price is reasonable. However, the company has been charging me, a single person, for THREE subscriptions for over a year, tripling the price of this service without telling me. I was shocked to learn this by opening my account, and I have no memory of purchasing two extra subscriptions. This feels deeply dishonest, and I am extremely disappointed that this happened.

      ******. Clean myMac X - I have used this protection service for years now and have not had any major issues until they updated the look of their dashboard. I was not able to open anything on my computer without waiting 5 mins or more or it crashing. I contacted ****** customer service and they suggested I send them system logs. I was not able to access the logs as the system would not open the logs. I uninstalled the app and my system runs great again. A few days later I figured I would try to download the app again and see if they fixed it. Again the system completely slowed my Mac down. Could not open any app. Apps crashing. I had to uninstall it once again. The idea of Don't Fix Something That Isn't Broken seems to not apply to them.

      Their customer customer service was not helpful and I asked them to remote in to see if they could determine the issue. No response.

      Bought a one-year subscription to the Gemini 2 product. It is useless. Tried to cancel my subscription after the first year, but It is nearly impossible to cancel. Ended up paying for a second year I did not want. Tried again to cancel before the third renewal and got sent from chat bot to email and back to chat bot. Isn't this illegal? Shouldn't there be one clear link where customers can cancel a subscription?

      CleanMyMac sold me a "Lifetime" membership, but now they want me to pay for the latest upgrade. This is NOT what I was told when I joined and I still have that email that says the same. Forget trying to contact them via their "contact" page....all you'll get it a "bot". You can call their 877 number and talk to someone with a thick accent but he will tell you that we now have to PAY for the latest upgrade to CleanMyMacX. So much for their "lifetime" membership! Maybe it's time for a class action law suit? Anybody???
