On Christmas, Jan 25, 2023, I received a groupon for this business which promises a paint class for two with wine. I tried to book a class through their website last week but there was no way to add a coupon for the groupon. On Jan 11, I tried calling but their number goes straight to voicemail and says it's not operating. On the same day, I email them instead and have not received a response. Today, Jan 16th at 2:15pm PST, when I go to their website, vinoartist.com, I receive a host error (status code 524).

On may 16th I made an online purchase through Vino Artists website for a********* class on June 4th. My friends also made purchases and seven tickets were purchased between the five of us. They have a 48 hour registration change and cancellation policy. I emailed them on May 17th to change the date to June 3rd and got an automated response. I did not hear back and called them on May 20th and no one picked up. I called three times on the 23rd and no one picked up. I left at least one voicemail at this point. I emailed them again on May 24th asking them to confirm whether the date had been changed on the tickets. They emailed me back on May 25th saying they could not accommodate the date change because we had 9 in our party. I emailed back 15 min later stating we only had 7 in our party and asked how many spots were left for June 3rd. They have not replied back since. I called them on May 27 to ask for a refund and no one picked up. I left a voicemail. I also emailed asking for a refund. I have also tried contacting them through **********************. The time it takes them to respond, if they respond at all, is far too long.

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2022/07/26) */ We have never heard from this customer. Due to the covid related cuts, the best way to contact us is via email, all of the emails are typically answered within 48 hours.

To Whom It May Concern, In December of 2021 I received a gift of a Groupon voucher for a painting class at ********** *****************************. The voucher is supposedly redeemable for two adults to take a "paint and sip wine" in-person class. Although **********'s website has a calendar with class dates, it will not let me use my voucher to sign up for any of the "available" dates. I've emailed them three times (twice on March 3, 2022 and once on March 6, 2022) asking for someone to help me sign up for a class. No one has responded to my emails. I've called the phone number listed on their website **************** many times and it tells me that the number is no longer active. Also, my Groupon voucher has an expiration date of April 22. I thought expiration dates on vouchers/giftcards were now illegal in California? In short, my theory is that this business, **********, sells Groupon vouchers and then refuses to honor them until they expire. Thanks, *********

      05/04/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2022/05/04) */ I am the owner of VinoArtist, and I want to start by saying that we have been in business for about 9 years at this point and we actually did survive Covid as a business, and never EVER in the time of being in business we have scammed or compromised our integrety as a business. Also we have been partners with Groupon since the very beginning of our business and each week we have a lot of happy clients that register and experience our painting parties. To address you complaint, the voucher is Valid for 3 month from the date of purchase and you may register for the classes until the very expiration date of your voucher ( so essentially you get 4 month of valid voucher to register for the class ). Also you are absolutely correct your voucher purchase value never expires and you may apply your voucher toward regular priced admission for the amount actually paid to Groupon. For any information how to do this please contact Groupon customer service
