      March or April 2022. Seaside air installed a Lennox lrp14gx36-072ep-2a ac/ heat unit. I had a home warranty at the time and this is company they used. Ran fine for a week then had to send tech back out to replace thermostat. Worked the rest of year. May 2023 or so it started blowing hot air and I told company I was going to file a complaint to bbb if they didn’t fix it right. Original installer did not install proper drainage or the proper float. The compressor gets very hot and it’s just not installed properly the first time. I spoke with owner and my house is one of several that was done wrong and they are fixing problems. Well mine is still acting up and since the initial install was done wrong I believe other components are compromised. They will not come out and look at it and are ignoring me. This is bad business and should’ve been installed right the first time. I will never recommend this company they are terrible. The metal fins were also damaged on install. I told them all my complaints and they only put a p trap drain on and it still works half the time.

      My name is M****** ****** and I’m the owner of Seaside Air:  The Lennox air conditioning package unit was installed on 22, 2022.  Mr. H***** had a warranty company at that time and the work order was 616719158 First American.  The equipment was installed according to the manufactory specifications on a roof curb.  At that time, I was recovery from COVID.  I wasn’t aware of the installation of Mr. H*****’s equipment.  It’s unfortunate for Mr. H***** we had to replace his thermostat a week later.  Mr. H***** states that the unit worked for a little over a year without any problems or issues according to his emails and time frame. 
      Regarding Mr. H*****’s home warranty contract, he was to call the warranty company anytime there was an issue with his equipment.  Instead, he would call us directly by passing his Home Warranty company.  We sent our tech out after a year to repair his drain system.  The warranty company didn’t know that we went out there or give us the authorization to do so, but we went out there anyway to fix Mr. H***** drain line to address his complaint.  I didn’t charge Mr. H***** for the time or for the repairs.
      Mr. Harri’s states that the unit was blowing hot air after a year of being installed.  Mr. H***** states that he is going to file a complaint with BBB if we don’t fix his unit.  He also states that the compressor was hot due to improper installation!  Unit blowing hot air or a compressor running hot is not an installation issue.  That’s a mechanical problem not an installation problem.  My general manager of Seaside Air stated that the same type of unit, Lennox, were under factory warranty, we’ve repaired the four because of defective parts.    None of the units were replaced.
      Mr. H***** last email stated that unless we were going to replace his unit not to bother coming out.  He also stated the “owner” Bill Kuykendall said that the previous installers hacked many jobs.  First of Bill Kuykendall is not the owner of Seaside Air, and never has and never will be.  Bill Kuykendall was referring to other companies that we had to repair their hacked-up jobs.  We are the preferred choice among all our home warranty companies because we get the jobs done right.  If there’s problems, we fix them at no charge to the customer.  I’ve had an “A” rating with the BBB never had a complaint.  This is the first and I’ve tried sending my tech out to fix his equipment, but Mr. H***** says no unless we’re going to replace his unit. 
      I’ve sense talked to his home warranty company and explained to them the issues with Mr. H*****.  Mr. H***** dropped his home warranty insurance and said that there was nothing that the warranty company could do for him.  I would be more than glad to fix Mr. H***** problems if he would allow us.  There’s a 10-year parts warranty with the manufacturer.
      I don’t prefer Lennox equipment at all, it’s what the home warranty company sends us to replace the existing equipment.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Everything this guy said is not correct. The drain they had to come install a trap one was not done the first time. Why would I be charged when on the unit it clearly states to use a trap or the float won’t work properly. The grounds of the hots were not properly torqued on the ac disconnect either. A fire hazard. Had to do it myself. The oil all over the black reservoir leaking out and getting blazing hot and shuts down thermally? I was never told that the company would replace parts due to warranty this is a complete lie. Never was this said to me. I talked to mike on the phone not bill and he told me that other jobs were not done right. The owner must be confused. Parts should be replaced that need to be repaired. Other wise this is going to end with us going to court.
