On 5/18/22 I paid $4375 (please see attached) these fees, included probate document preparation (3500), Superior Court Court filing fee (455) and Santa Maria times legal posting fee (420) to T*** Coles at C4 to help me access a bank account after my father died. He told me i needed to start probate proceedings because of the value of my father’s estate. There are many confusing, conversations and emails regarding this process. I was thoroughly confused. And asked for guidance several times. I also noticed several errors in my paperwork, including the date of my father’s death. Eventually, In August, I had to hire an attorney to clarify things for me. I could not get any help from T***, especially after i had an attorney. He stated he was only helping me with probate, but when i asked him questions he would put me off. When probate court was finally in session, I found out that C4 did horribly sloppy work for me, and i gave them $3500 for that work alone. They also did not publish in the correct news publication for my father‘s probate information, which i paid $420 for. (Please see attached) As i dug further with time and energy from my attorney, I found that I didn’t even even need to go to probate court. I paid a superior court filing fee of $455 to T***s at c4 for something I didn’t need to do! After several request for a refund from T*** he sent me $3000 on August 29…. I asked him several times where he got that number from, and he never answered me. As far as I’m concerned, he owes me everything back.Business response

I am uninterested in dealing with S*****. She is a bully.
1st we refunded as much money as we are going to.
2nd it was more than our agreement which she signs allows.
3rd we can only provide information on the forms that she gives us .
4th she begged us to do this work for her after referring her to several attorneys.

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, they have to deal with me. I am not a bully and i am not going away until i receive my money back. i assure you i am the one who has been bullied and taken advantage of. I don’t want it to happen to anyone else!
I am rejecting this response because it doesn’t address their sloppy work. It doesn’t address that they didn’t do their jobs. And they absolutely never never referred me to an attorney!!!! I believe they owe me the rest of the money. They also didn’t address that. They didn’t do the work that I paid for, just like they didn’t take any time to explain themselves for this complaint.Their business practices are unacceptable, unprofessional, and unethical, and need to definitely be investigated further. I have sent this same complaint to the state BAR as I believe that C4 overstepped their boundaries as Paralegals.
