            Swell installed 3 *********** Walls at my residence last year and offerred a $1,000 discount/incentive as part of my contract. Swell recently sent me a 1099-*** for the $1,000 incentive. I am not nor have I ever been a contractor for Swell and have been retired for 16 years. The 1099-*** is for contractors and would require that I not only pay income tax on the $1,000 incentive but also a self-employment tax. There is simply no way of contacting the appropriate person at Swell to obtain the correct 1099. I suspect that Swell issued this 1099 so that they could deduct the $1,000 as an expense. However, this is not only unethical it may be illegal.

            This is a belated review for a solar+ storage system we got from Swell 4 months ago. We've gone through 2 outages so far and did not realize until we saw the app notification . In addition, we have not had to pay any utility bills in the past 3 months! We are so happy with our purchase and would like to recommend Swell to anyone that's looking to get solar or battery as they are not only customer centered, but also professional, and result driven. A+ to their customer service team!The installation team was also great. They arrived on schedule and immediately got to work. On the day of our final inspection, the inspector requested for another grounding to be installed in the front of out house and to our surprise, the tech stayed after to get that completed (over 90 degrees that day) in order to get the permit signed off the same day. They definitely went above and beyond.
