      I received a loan through Sunshine Loan. My account had become overdue a few months do to a fraudulent charge on my checking account which caused me to close it and open another. I know that I owe them money. The amount that I received was $2000. They have since contacted my new employer that they were going to serve my papers and that it has gone to the courts. I have contacted them and have arranged to pay. They wanted ******* right then and there and continued to threaten me with courts, lawyers, etc. I am an elementary ***************** teacher making ends meet. I had to pay them $1000 a day or they were going to let it go through the courts. I have paid them $2000 already and struggling to find the other $1,000 I agreed to make it a total of $3000. They continued to call me today while I was with students, and interrupting my teaching. I know that I am liable for the money. I get that but, they are harassing me at work and disrupting me at my employment.

      Hi *******,

      Both of your delinquent accounts were sold to a collections agency called Collections Attorneys USA in July 2024, and we have not attempted to contact you since this time. At no stage have we attempted to contact your employer. Our collections efforts ceased once Collections Attorneys USA acquired your account earlier this year.

      The only communication we have received from you, either via email or over the phone with both the phone number we have on record for you, and the phone number provided in this complaint since they're different, was a call on 08/21/2024, in which we notified you that your account had been sold to Collections Attorneys USA and provided you with the contact information.
      Based on how this information conflicts with what you stated in your complaint that 'I have contacted them and have arranged to pay', I believe your complaint may have been incorrectly directed to us given we have not had any communication with you in several months.

      Regardless, I have reached out to Collections Attorneys USA for communication records and will provide further information when it becomes available.

      That this company told me that it would not be due till the 30th and they are taking my money today on the 28th that was not the agreement and they know I'm on disability and get my money on the 1st of the month by doing it today it's making my account negative that's not right what they are doing.

      I hope this message finds you well, and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologize if our services did not meet your standards, and want to take the time to address your concerns and come to an amicable resolution.

      To provide some context, we are unable to process ACH debits on weekends as banks do not process them, and as your repayment fell on a Sunday (6/30/24), it was debited the business day before, being Friday 06/28/24 as generally when direct deposits fall on a weekend, they are received the business day before so debits are processed the business day before to line up with this.

      We understand that this may not have been the case for you and you may have received your direct deposit on the following business day, so in light of the concerns you've raised, to reach a resolution we would like to offer a refund of the fee amount for your loan of $17.50. This means that you will have paid only the amount we funded to your as part of your loan agreement.

      If this resolution is agreeable, please let us know and we'll set this refund up. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out again.
