I worked on a deal with SM Volvo (this is my 5th volvo with them). I'm residing in ******* at the moment while my son finishes school. The salesman understood this and promised me that I wouldn't pay for the first payment while I waited for car to ship. The salesman promised me that he would register the car in ******* for me. He had me give a deposit but not sign any paperwork nor take possession of the car. He said he would send the paper work to me out of town. I received the paperwork and signed but after putting the envelope in ***** mailbox realized that salesman registered the car in ********** and was charging me an additional month. I wrote the dealer and salesman immediately and told them that they'd made a mistake and I wanted to cancel. The paperwork had not yet arrived to their office and the salesman called me and said he'd tried to fix the mistake. He told me to wait a few days. I realized he was stalling because he wanted to receive the paperwork. I then wrote another letter and said cancel the deal. The salesman after two more days of stalling wrote me and said I would be refunded. Then I heard from the sales manager who said they received the paperwork and submitted it to corporate despite the fact that I told them the deal was different than what we had agreed on and I had asked cancelled. The sales manager agreed to fix the issue. Then I received a call from the General Manager two days later saying there was nothing they could do and that they would be shipping me the car and it was my responsibility to deal with the problems. The dealership gave me false information about the terms of my lease. The dealership has not delivered to me a car. After finding out the dealership had changed the terms and notifying them that the ***** I was sending needed to be shredded, the dealership sent my paperwork to their corporate to be finalized despite the fact that I told them to cancel the deal because of the fraud they had committed.

Took************ Volvo (we are co-owners) in to evaluate check-engine light. Dealer said the analysis indicated that I needed a new oxygen sensor and four new fuel injectors. The service representative said he would charge me **** for the analysis but then reimburse or credit me the **** once I had the repairs. He said he would call the extended warranty company (******** Auto Care, XXX XXX XXXX) the following day to pre-authorize the work, which according to the contract is covered. Unfortunately, however, he apparently never called the warranty company either that day or three weeks later, when I also called him again and he claimed he would call the company "tomorrow morning." The General Manager of the dealership has also refused to return my call. I understand that they don't want my business, but they should at least refund me the $250 for the deposit/analysis.

Responding to a for sale vehicle advertisement, a vehicle was purchased for cash on 5/3/22 and delivered to ********** via transport. Since that time. the vehicle title has NOT been provided, despite multiple contacts to the dealership and promises from the dealership. Without title, we are unable to register/plate/ or drive the vehicle. Apparently, the title was not properly secured when the dealer took the car, and a signature on the title is missing. This should have been disclosed, or other means to allow drivability obtained. They have been VERY slow (3 weeks) to respond, and we still have no date on which to expect delivery of the title. We have a paid-for vehicle, fully insured, but not drivable due to incompetencies on the part of the dealership.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2022/06/14) */ The title was finally received 3 days after filing the complaint with the *************, and you. I notified the dealership of these complaints. However, we are still awaiting a POA from the dealership that they failed to obtain from the previous owner that allows us to retitle the vehicle in **. The title was never properly transferred from the prior owner to the dealership. There were joint sellers, and only one seller signed the title upon transfer to the dealership. The car should have never been re-sold without the dealer having proper title. I am hopeful that this is now in process, but nothing received to date.
