      Company was hired to help resolve a tax issue my wife and I were having with the **** When I called Defense Tax to ask about the agreement my wife and I had to sign with them pertaining to the wording that they make no guarantees, I was told that they would not take our money if they didn't think they could do anything for us. Well...that's exactly what they did.AFTER all money was paid to Defense Tax over the course of about 8 months and then over a year of being told they were working on our case over which time we were racking up more interest, more letter from the irs that were forwarded to Defense Tax, they ended up telling us all they could do was put us into a payment plan with the ****Hiring Defense Tax was a complete waste of money as we could have entered into a payment plan with the *** on our own for nothing! All it did was prolong the inevitable and cost us more money in interest along with the money we paid this company to do nothing. The final straw was when we received certified mail from the *** that they were threatening to put a levy on our home. We ended up having to take a loan out to pay the ****Empty promises and a higher tax bill was all my wife and I get for our money! They couldn't even get the penalties and fees from the *** removed or reduced like we were told they could do.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Defense Tax has been working on my tax issue for 2+ years. I was left with no choice but to pay the **** Everything that Defense Tax said they work to do failed.

      Work to eliminate or reduce my tax burden...fail.

      Work to eliminate or reduce the interest on my tax debt...fail.

      Work to eliminate the penalties and fees being charged....fail.

      File paperwork to stop a tax lien on my home or a bank levy...fail...*** sent certified mail stating their intent to do both.

      File paperwork to get me into a payment agreement with the ****..fail...I told ****** last year to do this and gave home the ok to do so.

      And, I could have set up a payment arrangement myself for free in a matter of minutes on the *** website...not 6 months.

      The decision to take a loan out to pay the *** was not an easy decision, but I was given no other choice as it has been over 2 years since I signed an agreement with Defense Tax and have gotten no results, accumulated more interest on my debt, and a final notice from the *** with the threat of a tax lien and a bank levy via certified mail.

      I hired DTG/DTP in April 2022. I had a very complex situation involving the military and wanted a tax attorney. They took on my case *** assigned a power of attorney who did not email me not one time in seven months. I had to continuously call to receive a call back. I would be told I'd receive a call by the end of the day *** it never happened. I finally withheld payments *** was able to get to a manager. I had a 15 minute phone call. The manager put me on hold three times, spoke over me, had not a clue about my case, mocked me for a sa that occurred in the military. It was just an awful phone. I then found the owner and emailed him and was lied to. The firm is very unprofessional. I paid almost $5000 *** they remained confused on my case. Theyvstated they did work but refused to provide evidence of manual labor. They were still very much confused on my case in Novembee. It is very frustrating to be taken advantage of in this way. I have reached out repeatedly for resolution. They told me they destroyed all correspondence and phone calls they had with the *** in regards to my case because they released me as a client instead of providing work completed.Also most of the people who work there are not tax attorneys as they claim. I've tried numerous times to have them bring a third party in to remedy this and they ignore the request.They also quoted our contract to me but put in a section of the contract that did not exist very shady. I'd like a refund in the amount of $4000.00.

      I left Defense tax Group and started Defense *************

      We have done billing for Defense tax Group, but have no business relationship or a contract with **************************

      We are requesting that She provides any proof or documentation she worked with us at Defense *************

      I have been dealing with this person for over 2 weeks explaining this and have over 50 abrasive and abusive emails from her.

      Both Defense Tax Group and Defense Tax Partnera are operated by *****. His name is listed on both companies with the BBB. As you see in the title this is the complaint for Defense Tax Group and he is confused. I have providing our contract as well as billing statement. He is just prolonging resolution and asking for this to be removed on false grounds.

      I spoke to the *** tosay this firm only contacted them 4 times from April 8th to around November 20th. I had to continuously call and email asking updates ans they never provided accurate information if I received a call back.

      Those are the 4 days they called the ***. My power of attorney did not email me once in 7 months. Then my new power of attorney would not listen to clear up confusion on my case which has led to the BBB complaint. I spent close to $5,0000 and they can't provide proof of workmdone with the ***. They told me they deleted all correspondence with them even though by law it's rightfully my stuff I don't even know if ***** is a real lawyer or just a company claiming to have lawyers. I was very much taken advantage of. I just want them to stop lying about work not truly done by them on my account and give me my money back. The *** has nothing but those calls from them. They took advantage of me. He also may be playing the Tax system by having Defense tax partners bill for work done by Defense tax group. Please refer two last two attached items.

      As you see the Business the complaint is about is Defense Tax Group. He states Inwork with Defense Tax Group. My contract shows Defense Tax Group.

      I have not been abusive but asked to speak with him in regards to my account as he is the listed owner of Defense Tax Grouo. ALSO if you call the *********** ********** office he is there most of time. His office is located within Defenste Tax Grouo. He is also Defense ************* I am billed by Defense TAx Partners as he said himself that's how they bill me. Both companies owned by him. So I have business with both companies.

      They were paid over $4500 and only contacted the *** via telephone 4 times, two being in November. I continuously asked for proof done on my work and have been ignored and lied to. Theyvstated they destroyed all items and correspondence with the *** that they had pertaining to my case but the *** claims there was only 4 calls. They very much took advantage of me. They then said I asked to terminate our agreement and sent a letter with a false agreement which I never signed. I very much deserve a refund as they cannot provide actual work done on my account no matter how many times I ask. They are trying to get my complaint removed so it does not damage their company. They continue to be dishonest in their responses instead of just giving me a decent refund of $3000 of the over $4500 I paid them. Of they could provide real correspondence with the *** that would be great as ***** ans this firm refuse to do so.

We offered a refund for more than was due, and you refused that amount. We have received over 60 emails with threats, false and slanderous statements.

Your review has inconsistencies from the amount paid, the work done and the time line, all of them are incorrect. We were hired for a compliance call and collections hold in March 2022, which was completed in less than 48 hours from hiring us. We were then hired two weeks later to fix an issue with the IRS mirroring your accounts and to make sure you avoided any further collections, which we have completed. You claimed you were waiting 9 months when it was less than 7 months. We had an installment agreement in place and we were waiting on the IRS to agree to clean up your mirrored tax issue so we could move forward with a penalty abatement. We are all at the mercy of the IRS when waiting to have adjustments made by them. We filed the request within weeks of being hired for resolution and were waiting to have the results back from the IRS. We can not force the IRS to do their job, we can only follow up which was done constantly on your file. We have over 100 pages of supporting documents and over 40 hours worked on your file. You also claimed that you paid $3,500 for resolution which is incorrect as well. We all agree waiting for the IRS is frustrating, but making false claims is not the solution. As of now we are waiting to hear back from the IRS regarding them accepting your request for a penalty abatement. We have lived up to your agreement 100% and continue to do so, even after your false claims. We made sure you did not have a collection on your income or bank account. We have had your account ceased to be mirrored causing your original issue and we are currently waiting for the results of the penalty abatement.       I am being stonewalled with no responses from anyone at Defense Tax Group. As i understand it, we have a paid relationship and responding to concerns, particularly about over-billing, are not optional. I am concerned that the services I was sold were not provided. Nothing has come through on this end, not one refund for one of the several years I paid for their services for. Instead, I keep getting sold more and more, and told that the money will come. Once all was paid I'm told that I owe more money in "late fees" because they didn't update my credit card information, nor contact me about their use of the old one before charging me these $300 "late fees." When i questioned this I was rudely talked over every time I tried to challenge the $300 "late fee" and when I asserted myself over this ********* I was hung up on. I have repeatedly asked for a call back from my case manager and received no reply, just stonewalling while they continue to have my money and I have no results. This whole thing looks like some sort of a hustle where they take money and keep finding new things to bill for without providing services that were promised. Please explain to me that i am wrong, because stonewalling when challenged on this only seems to confirm it.

      I contacted Defense Tax Group with a tax issue. Their web site states that they handle ************ issues, but due to the lack of communication, my confidence has waivered because of this. My assigned attorney has increasingly ignored my emails and does not return my phone calls. They continue to take money out of my bank account. I've been dealing with this since last November 2021 and they have stated that my particular case is out of their hands. Their web site states they have a satellite office in Missouri but I have had no success in locating said office. Basically, my problem is with this institution charging people to help them and then not communicating with them on the progress. Defense Tax takes monthly payments from my bank account, but will not resolve my tax problems or communicate with me.

      ******* talked me into giving Defense Tax Group my case with the *** and they promised me the *** would not collect my future income tax returns after they placed my account in non collectible status with the **** I had stopped temporary payment on my account with them because I doubted them if they could fix my issue but they called and collected 2months worth of payments about two weeks after the incident because **. ****** said he had gotten off the phone with the *** and I was going to be getting a letter in the mail that my account was closed which was a lie because I called the *** today and they told me regardless of what they do the *** is still going to collect my income tax returns which was the reason I hired them in the first place and they assured me and guaranteed me they would fix my issue and they have not till this date but they want my last payment which I will not be making I would like a partial refund I paid them way too much for them not to do what they said they would they wasted my time and money and they lied to me I would of given the *** the payments instead of paying them the $*****

      Do not use this company!!!!!! I caught ******** and **** in multiple lies about my case. They told me **** was an attorney working on my case and then told me he was a tax collector specialist, an ** Then ******** told me it was the same thing. I said no an attorney has to pass * board exam. **** promised by 12/28 he would be done with my Financials and give me an answer in writing whether I had a case or not. I said I didn't want to give them more money until I knew that fact. ******** and **** kept giving me the run around saying the other was still working on it. Then I caught ****, the "attorney " who called himself **** ********* send me an email from **** ******** signed **** ********* The texts from ******** went silent when I said I was calling my attorney and the *** unless my money was refunded. I went back and read reviews with people having the same issues. One guy who called an attorney ended up getting his money back, but only after threats from Defense Tax Group if he filed. Well, he did, and *** didn't think he would. He got his money back. I am in touch with this attorney now. Shame on these people who are predators to individuals in horrible situations. They even told me not to pay the IRS. I did not heed their advice. The owner ***** M. Specifically told me their company was different because actual attorneys would be working on my case.       I paid this company to file a tax resolution request two years ago, over this time period I have submitted information on several occasions only to be told they didn't receive it. I have resubmitted several times. I have called and received promise's that they were working on my behalf but the IRS has no record of any submissions. Now the phone's are not working.

I am not sure what number you are dialing. This is the main line you have been giving since the original date of hire XXX-XXX-XXXX You made claims that there is no record of us working on your file. We have your transcripts pulled from the IRS. The only way we can get those is by contacting the IRS. I reviewed your case and I see where you hired us, and then went into bankruptcy which put a hold on your resolution. We waived the restart fees as a courtesy and honored the original pricing which was 30% below out normal fees once you rehired us. When we restarted your file there was missing information from you and we have made numerous requests for documentation. We have each and every request we made for documents and were told that you would provide them numerous times. We spoke on January 7th where you indicated your finances changed and you would send the needed documents to complete your file. We followed up February 24th for documents We followed up April 13th and resent the forms required to resolve your tax issue. We followed up July 14th. On August 17th we sent you a draft of the financials and requested supporting documents. On September 9th we answered your email regarding your case and restated the documents we needed to finalize your resolution. on Sept 20th we received some more documents from you, but the 1098 was incorrect and needed to be resent. We resent the request for a corrected 1098 on October 14th. We got all updated end of October 2021 and started to finalize your resolution file. Your case manager went down with ***** and reassigned you a new case manger to finalize the file. We have tried to reach you to finalize your file and have tried to reach you as recent as today. We are unsure why we received a compliant, but would like to get this resolved for you. Please give us a call or respond to one of our calls or emails so we can finalize your file.
