      This complaint is intended to make the general public aware of the Bunnin Dealership policies and its overall treatment toward me with respect to my Chevy Volt. This car is affected by known car defects that are covered under warranty. In July, 2024, my 2017 Chevy Volt was found to have a defective EGR valve covered under the emissions warranty. The service department took 9 days to diagnose the problem and justified the delay on the basis of needing to rule out rodent damage that had been remedied the month prior. Ocatvio, the service manager, sounded like a recording the first week stating the technician was working on the car but still had not ruled out rat damage yet. On the 9th day after I begged for more information, Octavio informed me that there was no evidence of rat damage and my bill was zero. He said the new part needed- the EGR valve would be covered by Chevy but this part was on indefinite back order. There was nothing he could except to keep checking and letting me know what they discovered. The exchanges with the used car department were also disturbing. While the car was in for another problem in June (another story), I asked if they were interested in buying my car. I wanted 16K. They offered me 15K and assured me that they would buy it even if it was in the shop for warranty repair. The following month, I contacted them when the car was at dealer for the EGR valve replacement and asked if the offer was still good. I was unpleasantly told that it wasn’t. He said he could offer 14K and that too only after it was repaired or traded in. I have decided: No more GM cars for me. In summary the Bunnin dealership- Is very slow to diagnose defective parts under warranty, has poor communication between customer and mechanic, provides poor customer support and engages in unethical used car sales practices.

      I’ve been a customer for sometime I bought 6 new cars from this dealership, until now no issues with any. Last week after Memorial Day weekend one of my trucks completely stalled on me. I called and arranged it with Octavio to take it to service and figure out the issue. 3 days later and I had to call to get answers from Octavio, he had his manager reach out to me because I requested it since the lack of communication. In the diagnostic they found 5 codes and explained to me it had 3 injectors bad and 4 oxygen sensors. They called warranty and not until a week later they came back and said yes we are replacing 2 injectors and 2 oxygen sensors. Octavio called to tell me that and to charge me for a deductible. So he didn’t answered me when I asked what happened to the original diagnostic why is it only going to get partially? No one has attempted to get ahold of me to accommodate me so I can continue with my daily life. The sales manager whom sold me the truck has nothing to say. I had to call GM and BAR and they are looking into this.

      I went to Bunning Chevrolet of Santa Paula for an oil change, and J*** in the service dept recommend I get an air filter, a cabin air filter and some other things. The estimate just for the filters was $524.91. I told him I would do it myself, and he said "You're gonna do it?" I told him I was perfectly capable. I went and bought the filters for about $55.00 and installed both in approximately half an hour, in a dress even. I would not recommend Bunning Chevrolet

      I went through Rodo to lease a ZR2, I was connected with Bunnin and they excepted the deal and the Truck was reserved. Right away they ran my credit for approval. This was Friday, they were supposed to get in touch to complete the deal. No calls for 2 days, then I get a call from Rodo saying they no longer have the car. So you run my credit and reserve the car, but sell it to someone else ? Really nice. Now I have a credit inquiry on my credit report because of you. I will be reporting to Chevy of America.
