I found this guys website and hired him to come out and fix the ** in my car. We scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic on May 22nd, and after he looked over everything he told me he would be able to get my ac working. I paid him $100. A week later, he came back ready to install all the parts for the ac and to get it working like he said he could. 5 hours went by and he finally told me he couldn't get it to work, and doesn't know how to. He wanted me to pay him the $800 anyways and begged me to still pay him even though he couldn't fix what he was supposed to. I told him im paying him to fix it, but if he cant fix it then i told him to take the parts back and return them since they do no good for me if my ac still doesnt work. He told me he wasnt able to return them for his money back since he already installed them in my car. ******* would not leave my house until i paid him, and he made me extremely late for work. He pressured me into paying him. I ended up paying him a total of $500 and my ac is still in the same broken condition as it was before. Now im out $500 and still have no **. After doing research, i dont believe ******* Woolf at Woolf Mechanical has a business license to be providing services legally. My bank would not dispute this charge but i want my money back. This was not my fault that he didnt know how to fix it and i should not be paying for something that was not done. Please look into his illegal business as im having a hard time finding a business license online. His website is **************************Business response

I provided the services that ******************** requested. She was missing a/c hoses and a compressor clutch wire to complete her a/c system. I installed the hoses, repaired the broken wire, leak tested, and charged her a/c system. After the services were complete, the vehicle would not energize the a/c clutch circuit. There is a microprocessor in the dash that controls these inputs and outputs, in conjunction with the vehicles main computer. The problem is in the programming of the main computer.
******************** informed me previously that the engine and transmission had been replaced. After my repairs were complete I was informed that the engine was from a completely different model vehicle ***** years newer than the original motor. Although my repair is complete, she refused to pay the bill. She then offered to pay a portion, on the demand that I return and make it work. I have been really busy with the summer rush, so I havent been able to return as promised. I have not had any communication of any kind from ******************** since I left.To resolve this issue I would be willing to close out her invoice with the partial payment she provided, and conclude our business.

I am rejecting this response because:******* Woolf was immediately informed that the motor was previously swapped and the first phone call we ever had i told him exactly what motor was in my car. The day he came to fix my ac, he made it clear that he did not take note of any of the crucial information i gave him. He did not remember. He did not provide the services that i requested. I requested that he fix my AC, and after he diagnosed it and looked over the engine, he told me he could get it working.
I know nothing about cars so i wouldnt have just told him to install parts for an end result of it still not working. The motor in my car is not ***** years newer then the original motor, that is false information. Its from a different model which he was told, and its exactly 4 years older, but the same motor is also used in newer cars ***** years older Regardless of what motor is in it, once ******* realized that the parts he ordered were for the stock motor, he told me they would still work for the motor i had in my car and instead of returning them and ordering the correct parts, he installed them anyways saying he could make it work. This is irrelevant information because even if he got the correct parts for my motor, he still would have not been able to get my ac to work he told me. The parts had nothing to do with why the ac isnt working. He said its because of something that has to do with the cars computer which he should of checked over when he came for the diagnostic. As a business owner, this is very unprofessional of him to assure me he can fix something and not being able to fix it but still expect a full payment. Once ******* told me he couldnt fix it because he doesnt know how, he begged me to pay him anyways because he has a family to feed and bills to pay. This shows that he knows he shouldnt have gotten paid because he did not complete the job, and shows that if he was in my shoes he probably would not have paid which makes sense since the ac was not fixed. I requested him to fix my ac which he told me he could do, i did not request him to install parts for no reason, which he did. I do not expect him to return because he told me he does not know how to fix it so there would be no point.. and i wouldnt want him touching my car again since he showed me he does not know what hes doing. Please provide Woolf Mechanical business license.
