Press democrat informs me today that I owe $109 dollars because they charge for premium magazines inserted in newspaper, I was confused as I had stopped receiving the paper . They then say they charge for the inserted magazines . I say shouldnt you inform the consumer . She adds it is listen in the newspaper in section a2 . I sat but how would I know that ., she says its listed there and then can not tell me when this policy started .. followed by we just take it off your subscription date ., again why did you not tell us ., back to you should have read it I. A2 of the newspaper ?? seems bait n switch or just plain sleazyInitial Complaint

I notified the business, Press Democrat, last week that a trial subscription that I had was cancelled a year and a half ago, but they had been continuing to charge my credit card almost $20 a month since then, which is around $300 they owe me. I gave them a copy of my cancellation notice, (plus their own records should show that I never used their online reader service in that time), but I have yet to hear back from them even though I sent a second message to them a couple of days ago and ask them to respond to my initial message and let me know what they were doing to get me my money back. Furthermore, I explained to them that I'm a senior on a fixed income and can't afford losing this kind of money.
