Bought a used car from Toyota of Selma on June 8th, a 2019 Toyota tundra. Just doing a little self inspection on the tire, they sell the truck with a 5 years old tire from 2019 that already has cracks, missing chunks and already starting to rot. I understand that the tire still has a good thread but tire on average only last about 5 years doesn't matter how much threads left on the tire. That's dishonest business. They didn't disclose that information to me. That will cost me a minimum of 1000 dollars to replace the tire. I don't feel safe using cracked and rotting tire.

I'm sorry to hear about the tire issues you are having. I will have the General Manager reach out to you about this.

      Customer response

      06/28/2024

I am rejecting this response because:

Manager **** called on Wednesday. Told me will call back Thursday after checking with master technician but today is end of the Friday I haven't got a call.

Told me they did an inspection when they received the car and they decided the tire was safe prior to post it for sale. (I wanted to see the proof of the inspection if possible).

I also wanted an unbiased opinion from a third party, not an employee from Toyota of Selma. I think that's fair.

      Business response

      07/10/2024

We inspected the tire again for the customer and found the tire was not a safety issue and had cosmetic blemishes in it.

      Customer response

      07/11/2024

I am rejecting this response because:

How can you perform inspection from a picture? That doesn't make sense.

How can you say thats not a safety issue when every website you see online says tires only last about 5 years to 6 years **** And i also talk to independent tire shops they all say the same!

You just don't want to take responsibility for it and just try to be sneaky to get away with it with more profit for your pocket!

Can you provide an explaination to me what makes the tire still safe to use? I want to hear what you think.

Ultimately, here's what i want to settle the case. Just issue me a $600 check/tire shop gift card. I will call it even.

2/17/24, 2/24/24 Traded in a vehicle for one from them and paid money down, signed the paper work and got sent home with it via spot delivery the same night. Mind you, without them securing funding first, 2 weeks go by and then they call me and say they have a better deal. Sounds good to me so I go back down and resign my contract, looks way better than the original, or so I thought.I get a call another week and a half later stating that the credit union that the contract is through needs more info even though I had provided all necessary info when doing our buying process. So I jump through his hoops except for one, its seems they need more references, I have no more for him. He says okay he will work on it and get an exeception. What does that mean? You will find out if you call the credit union like I did.***, a finance employee, fraudulently put fake references on the application he sent in for me, so that he could cheat the system. I am heavily considering legal action if they don't resolve this.I went in immidiately today as soon as I found this out dropped the truck off and told them they can keep it I don't like the way they do business. They told me the general manager will call me tomorrow and that to come back in. I told them I will not be coming back in and if they need me to sign something they can mail it or email it.

they literally have no problems with their staff leaving comments and reviews under my name while they were setting up my app and I was checking out the features of my new car. We spent our money on a brand new car and they just told me that we will not receive a spare key for one year!! So if I lose my key or damage my key i have to contact Toyota to replace it and they back order on the key fob for about a year. No expediting nothing. I was never explained this during purchase. It was explained to us that the key would be mailed to us. We were not told by any employee or representative of the company that we would have to wait for up to a year for the spare key due to backlog. I didnt learn that until today 11/16/2023. I contacted the dealership and spoke to a salesman by the name of *** and asked to be transferred to a manager after several attempts I was finally transferred to ******. I explained that I purchased another vehicle from Hanford and I received two keys so I just wanted them to help me. I got the run around because they already sold me the car they dont give a care anymore. I was literally told over and over that it isnt their problem anymore and to contact Toyota directly. I asked what are my options for a lost key etc and he said call Toyota. I said the car is yours. Please help me

I was looking for a used 2021 Toyota Prius Prime Plug in Hybrid for its superior gas efficiency. I did my research prior to selecting this vehicle as EPA ratings showed up to 56mpg and 640 mile range for a full tank and fully charged battery. When I arrived to Selma Toyota on 5/18/23, I was taken across the street to Fahrney's Car Park and the Toyota Prime Prius was there. It was full of dust and dirty on the inside near the center console. The hub cabs were not attached yet and in the trunk of the car. The car's lithium battery was not charged but I was promised the vehicle had passed inspection and only needed to be detailed. I was told the car would be getting prepared/detailed as we signed the loan contract. It is also unclear if the vehicle was properly inspected as I requested a Car Fax report several times and was told I would be given a copy but never received it. I did not receive a certified hybrid inspection report either despite requesting it several times. A few days later, I took the vehicle on the freeway and the mpg was actually only 40mpg if I am being very generous. I began to contact Selma Toyota to report my concerns and my calls were not returned. At one point, I finally talked to a Sales Manager after several calls whom was very sarcastic and told me, "Well you signed the contract". He promised to call me back to help me explore my options and never did. I also reached out to my salesperson a few days later and he said he would get in touch with the Finance Manager which would be calling me back but never did. I drove from 3.5 hours away to talk to someone in person on 5/29/23 since my calls were not being returned and was not satisfied with the results when I arrived to the dealership. I was told a Master technician would be inspecting the car and I again asked for the CarFax report. It did not appear that a Full vehicle inspection was documented until 5 days after I purchased the car but I had never returned for any type of service.

When I purchased my car on 11/29/22, I was not physically told or visually disclosed that I was purchasing the car above the Listed MSRP. After the fact & by reviewing the contract/numbers it was discover. This is actually in violation of California VEHICLE CODE - 11713.1. sec(q). I have a witness & if this does not get addressed in a timely manor I will be forced to report to the proper athorities.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (q) Except as provided in Section 24014, affix on a new vehicle a supplemental price sticker containing a price that represents the dealer’s asking price that exceeds the manufacturer’s suggested retail price unless all of the following occur: (1) The supplemental sticker clearly and conspicuously discloses in the largest print appearing on the sticker, other than the print size used for the dealer’s name, that the supplemental sticker price is the dealer’s asking price, or words of similar import, and that it is not the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. On 12/30 I applied for an auto loan through this dealer ship with Toyota Financial. The dealership ship used my information to also apply for Wells Fargo and Capital One auto loans without my knowledge or consent.

When the customer applied for the loan they consent for us to use other lenders for financing to get the customer the best interest rate possible. which we did in this situation. If the customer believes that this was done in error they can contact the credit bureau and they would be able to remove the inquire.

On February 4th I went to Toyota Of Selma to purchase a Toyota Tacoma Off Road 2022 to surprise my husband for his birthday. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the dealer did not have the car for me. So for that I was put on a list to reserve the truck for me. On that evening I sign a paper for a credit check for that day only. On February 5, 2022 I sign the contract to reserve the truck. Weeks goes by the truck is not here yet. My ***n problem is that after weeks into waiting for the truck Toyota Selma ran my credit many time without my consents. I have brought it up to the salesman and the manager but nothing was done. After waiting for some time the dealer told me that the truck that I reserved came in but was sold to another customer. I want Toyota Of Selma to delete all my hard inquiries that they pulled on me without my permission and the ones that I did consent too because they sold the truck that I had been waiting to another customer that was willing to pay more for the Truck Mark up price. Please contact me for more into depth detail about this problem. My number is ###-###-#### & my name is ***. Please feel free to leave me a voice***l if I don’t pick up.

I am rejecting this response because:

After I spoke to **** the general manager & **** the sales manager from Toyota Of Selma nothing was resolved. Both were just giving me the run around. I have ask that I need them to removed the hard inquiries that was done without my approval back on March 27th & 29th. I clearly explained to both **** & **** on what happen from the start to the end. Reason # 1 **** said  why my credit was pulled was that they were trying to get me approve for another Truck even though they sold the one that I reserved for.  Reason # 2 **** says that on February 4th 2022 when I sign the credit application that was for a 6 week credit check where Toyota Of Selma can check my credit anytime because I have given them the permission already, That is a total lied not true at all. When Ge Thao the salesman that was helping me with the whole process told me that credit application that I am going to sign is a one time credit check only never says anything like what **** said to me on the phone last week. On March 27th & 29th  when my credit was pulled it was already past 6 weeks. No matter what Toyota Of Selma says they are just covering each other up and giving me the run around. **** says for me to contact the credit bureaus to take this off and Toyota Of Selma will not fight this when they get the letter or call I guess. I strongly disagree with this. What I want is a copy of the credit application I sign on February 4th 2022 & for all the hard inquiries that was done with out my consent to be removed by Toyota Of Selma ASAP. I know Toyota Of Selma does have the authority to contact the credit bureaus to dispute this. And by the way when my credit was pulled on March & 27th & 29th I did inform Ge Thao my salesman and his boss Carlos and I even screenshot and send them a text to ask them to stop  checking my credit without my consent. Ge &  Carlos both  brush me off as it was a soft pull only and not a hard pull.

We have a signed credit application from the customer allowing us to pull credit. The customers credit was ran again because to see if she still qualified for a vehicle that she was still interested in.  The customer can dispute the inquire on her credit bureau and it will be removed.
