**** was taken into ******* **** animal hospital on July 11th at around 3pm to start surgery for pyometra. The vet claimed surgery went well but recommended we leave her in the hospital overnight. We agreed, then received a call at 12am on July 12th saying **** was going into cardiac arrest and they were doing everything they could. They called again at 1am to say she didn't make it. We had an outstanding balance of $760 and we had neglected to pay it. I received a call from*********** today August 24th asking when or if the balance would be paid. I ensured that I was meaning to pay it and he told me it was uncool of me to not pay after they did so much to help me. I didn't feel he was being cordial with me so I hung up. Immediately after I received texts claiming me and my "irresponsible drug use" caused my dogs demise. ***** then harassed me with 10 consecutive text messages claiming that I'm a drug addict, a horrible pet owner, and the killer of my own dog.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/16) */ *************************** rents space in a surgical suite at Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital, these owners have a grievance with **************, not Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital-as we are 2 completely separate entities. Beverly Oaks was responsible for rendering emergency care to ****, however we had no part in any of the communication via text messages or phone calls after ****** death. ***** ******** paid Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital for the bill that was owed for ****** emergency care. We understand that they are grieving the loss of their pet and offer our condolences.
