      After seeing all the craftscape builds on instagram.com we decided to hire them to do our pool and landscape design. ***** was very tentative and through when it came to collecting the opening deposit and collecting the design fee. Once we paid, nothing for 3 weeks. We called them several times with not response, then called the office and spoke to another person. We sent over site plans, soil reports and other helpful documents. Again, nothing for several weeks. Now all the phone numbers are turned off. I did some research and found that in the last 30days 4 other people have similar stories. Well, guess he didn't realize that i wont allow this to happen. Ill be making a surprise appearance to his office address given, and then to his house.

      We hired CraftScape Creations in February 2023 to complete our new construction backyard, including pool, spa, firepits, hardscape, planting and lighting. From Feb 5th to October 13th, we paid Craftscape $368,367 in which they only completed roughly $100-$115K of work to our home. They then sent an email on Wednesday November 1st stating they are closing their doors and filing for bankruptcy. They have refused to refund any of our money and stated it is gone.

      We hired ************************* and Craftscape Creations to design a backyard for us on a new build home. At the time, the home was in escrow. We entered into the contract with Craftscape Creations on February 22, 2023. The contract states: "If for any reason property does not close on Escrow, Contract shall become void and Client shall be reimbursed for all deposit fee (excluding any Permit Fees, Engineering/Architectural Plan work, and any materials already purchased and on site)." The home did not close escrow, and we have been attempting to recover $84,000, as well as an accounting of what had already been spent, for the last 6 months. We attempted to notify ************************* of the cancellation of escrow on April 28, 2023, but he did not call us back. We were able to get him on the phone on May 1, 2023, and we notified him of the cancellation of escrow and asked him for an accounting of what had already been spent. He said he would get everything to us shortly. He never sent anything so we contacted him again on June 21, 2023, via text message. He did not respond until July 10, 2023, at which time he said he had a family emergency and would send us everything that week. Again, he sent nothing. We sent him follow up text messages on July 21, 2023 and August 7, 2023, as well as an email on October 23, 2023. ***** has been completely unresponsive and has violated several terms of the contract, including not returning our money. Additionally, per the Contractors ******************** the Business and Professions Code states that the down payment may not exceed $1,000 or 10% of the contract amount, whichever is less. The down payment that ***** had us pay far exceeds that amount. ***** has been holding onto our money for almost 6 months. He has made no efforts to return our money, and has evaded any requests we have made for our money back, as well as an accounting.

      We hired CraftScape Creations to remodel our backyard, including regrading, construction of an ADU, hardscape, planting and more. We started with a Design Agreement (entered in November 2022) for CraftScape to create the design - we paid a fee of close to $10,000 for this. Our frustrations with CraftScape began immediately, as their customer service was horrendous and it would typically take a week or two to receive an email response to any questions we had. After over 4 months (due to CrafftScape's horrendous lack of communication), we okayed a final design. Then in the biggest mistake of our lives, we decided to move forward with CraftScape on the build portion of the project. We signed a Project Agreement and paid a HUGE upfront fee to start the project. CraftScape broke the law by requiring us to pay this upfront fee in excess of 10% of the total project cost (** ***** Prof. **** Section ****). CraftScape was to do everything so we could submit for permits and approval with the ******************* and our ************************ CraftScape stated the architectural plans would take about 6 weeks - it ended up taking 6 months to get any sort of plans. The "plans" we did receive were really just drawings and are not ready to be submitted for permits. Further - all the design renderings that we were provided in the initial design phase were deleted (by a disgruntled CraftScape employee). The President of CraftScape lied to us about what happened to our project files. Finally, we got to a point where we could see no way forward in working with a company like this. We calculated all the expenses that had been incurred from the amount we provided CraftScape, and we asked to negotiate with the company for a fair refund amount. CraftScape became completely unresponsive. Then after weeks of trying to reach them - they offered us $5000 - a completely unfair and insufficient amount. We will be filing a complaint with the **************************

      Been working with design company for 1 year, contract stated we would have product for design by Aug 2022. Started getting excuse after excuse, no one listening everyone ignoring our emails texts for months. No finished product. They took 15k From us. Wont give it back even though No promises kept based off contract.
