I had to terminate my contract with Michelle Arbeau and Truth Tribe Publishing LLC, effective Jan. 29, ****. I notified Michelle by certified mail, email, and LinkedIn messaging. My primary concern is getting a $200 refund. Details are below.Pursuant to the provisions of our contract dated August 5, 2023, item 13, I hereby terminate our contract effective January 29, 2023. Since November of this year, I have been asking you to complete your commitment as spelled out in item 10 of the contract. Most recently, I asked you to do "several things (paraphrase). Pursuant to item 13 of our contract, I am making my best effort to terminate without suing you. To facilitate the termination, I request that you do the following: Transfer the **** to me so I can republish. Refund $200 of the $499 fee that I paid when we entered into the agreement. Stop advertising the book under your publishing company. Please acknowledge receipt of this notice and let me know that you will comply.Her response, in part, in an email Jan 2, ****, said:I will handle this this afternoon. I'm sorry you want to terminate. I did not realize you were requesting anything on your list. I was simply moving forward with promoting you, as per the contract. At any point, you could have pointed out that you required those things. We had many emails back and forth. If this is how you feel, then I will take your book down from the system and return the book back to you, etc.She has not taken the book down and has not returned the book. I responded, in part:- I still don't know if Michelle made final changes to the book proof - She still hasn't taken someone else's signature page out of my contract - I never got my author copies even though we published Nov 8 - She never gave me any information about sales - She never provided any marketing events
