My solar system went out in June. I didn't understand this until August when I received my electric bill. The company partnering with Evergreen Solar (ES) who sold the system to me is no longer in business. So, I looked elsewhere to locate someone to fix my system. In doing so, on 11/10/22, I discovered ES had opened a claim under warranty for my faulty invertor and the invertor had been delivered to them on 9/22/22. I have never been contacted by ES and the other company I contacted cannot obtain another invertor under warranty because the warranty has been fulfilled to ES. I have made many phone calls to ES and left voice mails. I have spoken to ***** once, who say he doesn't know anything, although the claim was made using his email address. I have been told more than once I will receive a call back and I have not. Can *** help me get my invertor from this company so I can have my system fixed? I am now paying for the system and an outrageous electric bill. I believe this is theft under*********** law. But, instead of calling the DA I am trying to get the invertor ES received on a claim for the system on my home. If you believe I should open a criminal claim, I can do that.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/12/06) */ Evergreen Solar got in touch with ******** to figure out what happened. Evergreen found that another company had a sent in a claim to the inverter manufacturer for her warranty under Evergreens name. After calling the inverter manufacturer to check where they sent the inverter covered by the warranty. Evergreen was able to locate the inverter from ********* and delivered it to the homeowners house. ******** was happy and requested to remove the**** complaint. Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2022/12/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I find Evergreen Solar's response to my complaint interesting. At best, it nis sophistic. (Plausible but intentionally deceptive.). I stand by my claim and update. Having said this, as the complaint fulfilled its purpose and I did receive the inverter sent to ES by the manufacture (with my name and case number from the manufacturer) from ES, I will consider this complaint closed.

On 8/3/22 signed contract for significant solar installation (27 panels, which we are financing for approximately ********* Crew partially installed 9/2/22. We were told there was a backordered part and they would return to finish once that came in. 9/19/22 contacted sales person for clarification on terms after phone call with financing (and delays in project). I was directed to main office. Confirmed with **** that the missing part is now in and would be installed soon; if we were not generating by the time our payments were due that Evergreen would reimburse for those payments. 10/11/22 I called the office again to check in on the status/progress. I was told that the part was installed, but she could not give me a date it was installed. She told me final inspection would be in 2-3 weeks. 10/20/22 I called the office again. I was told our project was just waiting on approval. I asked from who and was told the city. She confirmed that all equipment is installed and once approved, all that is left to do is turn the system on. I decided to call the city to get a timeline estimate. The city revealed that they have not had any solar plan submitted and no permits have been pulled. I emailed the timeline of our experience and the city's processor contact information and links, requested we be contacted to resolve the situation. I emailed again on 10/27/22 adding the person attached to the contracting license, requesting again to receive a response by 11/1/22. It has been 90 days since we signed our contract. The contract ********* the contractor is responsible for permits and to complete work diligently. We have been given the run around, lied to, then ignored, while modifications have been made to our property without following proper protocol, which even IF resolved, will create even more delays. We want this resolved, with written agreement to reimburse our solar financing payments AND any additional costs due to the delays and permits not being acquired.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/15) */ Evergreen Solar's manager spoke with ***** ***** to provide the requested updates. Evergreen explained to the customer that they needed to revise the plans per the new panel layout which requires a revised permit. Once the revised permit is approved they will schedule her final inspection with building and safety the following business day. ***** will also be receiving reimbursement payments for her solar until permission to operate is granted with ******* ********** ********* Evergreens manager is in touch with ***** and is assisting her through the completion process. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/11/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) We are moving forward with faith Evergreen will follow through with their commitments. They've offered to reimburse our payments through the current and any future delays. The manager has also provided me his direct contact for future communications. They have said they communicated with the city and all needs for the project are in progress. We were given apology for the communication difficulties out of their office. We appreciate the efforts to resolve this and hope that no further issues arise.
