January 4, 2022, I made a reservation under my name with my U-Haul account guaranteed by my bank card.Problems start at the end of the day when the "Driver" was finished with what he was needed for. I messaged U-Haul letting them know I was in need of the truck for a day longer. U-Haul wouldn't talk to me about the contract. The contract had been changed naming my "Driver" as contract holder, while still using all my account information and bank card, the rental showing as rented by myself online. U-Haul wouldn't allow me to do anything, as I've no driver's license the truck sat unused. On Jan. 6th El Dorado *********************** left a message that the vehicle had been reported stolen. U-Haul was still unwilling to assist in the matter because they had changed the name on the contract still on my account. Pleas were made to U-Haul to pick up their equipment as I can't drive nor would anyone else as a stolen vehicle. U-Haul did not return messages, or emails. U-Haul did not pick up their equipment (truck). U-Haul's refusal to assist with anything forced me to attempt returning the truck myself. All I needed was to be able to add a new driver and use the truck for original trip miles with one additional day, I was refused by U-Haul. I was told that people making reservations using accounts of other people not named was normal course of business. U-Haul proceeds to overcharge stating the rental from Jan. 4 thru Jan 8 is 6 days.
