      Dec 16, 2021 we called Baileys Tree in ********************* as we had an 80 foot Heritage Oak tree fall across our front yard and partially land on second story of our home. They sent a crew to clear our driveway only at first but this crew decided to attempt to take down the tree when they were not the correct crew to do so. (owner even told us that) The wrong crew went on the second story and proceeded to THROW 2-3 foot logs off my roof onto our cement walkway and then our lawn WITHOUT tying off any limbs or logs! They destroyed plants and most of the lawn in the process that were NOT part of the landscaping anywhere near the fallen tree. Their crew walked thru bordering plants, breaking landscaping we had for 30 years rather then use walkways/driveway. They lost control of huge logs that rolled thru my plants and across the street in a suburban neighborhood. I told them to STOP and called the owner who came and told me the "wrong" crew was on the roof--this group was just there to clear the driveway. After a week of work where we asked them to stop disrespecting property, nothing changed. We paid the Company and filed a claim with their liability company after the owners promised to come back and access damage-they never came back nor answered my many calls. I then filed a claim with Baileys ************* Their liability company denied responsibility today stating "disclaimers" in the contract. NEGLIGENCE is NOT part of the contract nor is damage to my front yard UNRELATED to the job I contracted them to do. I never signed on to have my expensively landscaped front yard damaged and they denied responsibility before ever knowing what we wanted in damages to settle. BAILEYS WAS HORRIBLE and so was THEIR LIABILITY INSURANCE CARRIER.

      We are unable to see Donnas attachments, so we cannot speak to them.

      We do not agree with Donnas claims. Donnas job was an emergency job completed during a massive winter storm. A tree had fallen in her yard, on her driveway and house. After we started work by getting just the driveway cleared,  ***** emailed requesting an additional estimate for landscape work. Her email on 12/17/21 at 6:25 am states:

      Also due to loss in landscaping from the fallen tree does Baileys  do any landscaping restoration service or do I need to hire a gardener? 

      This was before we had started clearing the tree from the yard, landscaping and house. She cannot claim that we damaged her landscaping when she states in her email that the damage was already done by the tree falling during the storm.  We gave her a referral.  

      We are also attaching pictures taken before we even stepped foot on her property.  How can ***** differentiate damage done by the tree falling during the storm versus damage she claims was done by our company? These pictures clearly show damage to her lawn, landscaping and plants that happened from the tree falling during the storm. 

      Regarding Donnas claims that the owner told her the wrong crew was at her house; our company owner was notified by our office that the crew was being verbally abused and harassed by the property owners. A three man crew literally walked off the job site to avoid being harassed by the Blades. The crew threatened to quit and refused to do any more work on the Blades property. When the company owner showed up he told the Blades he would deploy another crew to replace the previous crew. There was no talk of the wrong crew.  All of our crews are trained and competent to complete all projects. 

      The Blades paid in full at the completion of the project. That usually means the customer is happy and there are no concerns with the project.

      We carry reputable liability insurance.  If the liability insurance company denied Donnas claim, that should not reflect on us. We have been in business for 20 years. Our reviews online are exceptional.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      This business owner is not being honest. I called my own insurance company to find out that plants under a fallen tree were not covered. I never asked Baileys business for a landscape referral nor did they provide one to me. I told the owner that the plants under my tree fall were not covered and that I was upset that the current crew was being NEGLIGENT with the remaining plants on my property not affected by the tree fall. That is the honest truth.

      We, the home owners, told the crew to STOP work as they were throwing off, not tying off, large parts of the tree from the second story onto our property, lawn and sidewalk.. The owner was never there to see that part. When the owner came, after I called the office for someone to get this crew to stop work, the owner told me and my husband that the driveway crew was NOT the crew to take the tree off the roof as they were only the crew for the driveway clearing, The owner told us there are several crews with specific tasks and that the driveway crew was not the ones who should have gone up the tree on the house. I would not have known that info unless someone told me about that part of their business. I don't know what crews at Baileys does what. We told the guys to please respect our property and stop walking thru good plants, stacking wood on them, and asked them to tie branches off. What kind of tree company would NOT do that if they were worth anything at all. 

      Yes it was an emergency project to remove the tree from the house, but we never gave them any timeline or  pressed them to be done with any urgency due to bad weather as the storm was over and only drizzling occurred when the crew was working. We even told them not to work during the rain and several days they did not come. I wuld have preferred they take their time and do the job right, rather then hurry thru it, destroying my yard in the process.

      I am sorry, but Baileys version is only tainted to protect themselves and NOT HONEST. I will never have them work on our property ever again and their dishonest remarks are quite insulting.

      I never expected Baileys to pay for tree damage to our plants but their negligence was pervasive and they are simply NOT telling the truth in their comments to the BBB.

      We have the right to protect our property from NEGLIGENCE and that was merely what we were doing. Baileys insurance company is designed to vindicate their insured so they don't have to pay claims and if Baileys choses to not be truthful, you can bet they were not truthful in their side to their insurance company either. It is pretty much their word against mine and the fact that I am willing to share with friends and neighbors about this experience about Baileys, is something I do not take lightly.
