My daughter was a member of ******** competitive team and because of the awful and a abusive treatment from the coaching team we decided to remove her from the program before any competitions had begun. The gym charged the competition fees in two payments in advance of the season. ***** at the front desk told me I would get my fees back to me when I unenrolled my daughter and she requested that we return the rented leotards which we did, I have a letter signed by one of the coaches (JD) that both ******** were returned. I later called back to follow up on my refund and ***** (the owner) would not come to phone, I was told she has a lot on her plate due to the upcoming competition that she's hosting so she was not going to take my call. I agreed to wait another week and call back, I Confirmed this via email and no response. I called back twice on they asked me to, left a voice message and no one called me back. I disputed the charges with my bank and Half of the competition fees was returned to me, however the other half they could not dispute because it was out of the time frame for disputes so they recommended I contact the *** and BBB if the owner refuses to do the right thing. The amount still owed for competition fees is $700. I'm also requesting the deposit I paid for the leotard as they were returned, the deposit amount is $200. In total AGA is refusing to return $900 to me. I'm concerned because based on her reviews she is very dishonest and refuses to return money often. I have been very patient as I unenrolled my daughter on 12/28/22 and I'm still waiting to be given my money back. *** is holding money for competition fees that my daughter did not attend and it seems the advance collection of money is a way to take more money if the team members decide they can no longer handle the abuse.
