On 6/26/2024 i paid said business $1368.73 for replacing three seals on transfer case on my 2016 Wrangler. I was told if it leaked bring it back it has a two-year warranty. Approximately two weeks later it started leaking again. I brought it back and it has been the run a round ever since, need a new part, well that wasn't it, so on and so forth. Now it is August 24th, and no resolution. I guess there are laws here, but being a consumer in this matter, I haven't the knowledge. Could you please help me?Business Response

About two years after purchasing a brand new 2015 Dodge Ram **** the ******** Shifter" and ******** Transmission, Continue in D. Do Not Shift or Turn Engine Off" lights went on. I took the truck to the dealerships service **** and they did an update to the trucks computer.April 2019 (mileage *****) *** ******** Shifter" light came on again and led to multiple other errors (Windshield wipers mayhem, continuous beeping, stuck in 4th or 5th gear while in motion. I took it back to the dealership they checked for recalls and performed a recall.July 2019 (mileage at 28106)******** Shifter Light" "Park Immediately" beeping, windshield wiper mayhem, gear stuck in 4th gear etc. I took the truck to the dealership service **** where they were unable to duplicate the issue. *** truck sat parked for 6months. In January 2021 This issue happened again and it was parked for 5months untouched.In 2022 same issue and was told it needed a new battery. I had just replaced the battery about 2 months prior but we agreed to do it.In March of 2023 (mileage *****) ******** shifter" "Park immediately" while I was driving down the mountains. *** truck got stuck in 5th gear -scary. I took the truck to the service **** and was told we needed to replace the Clock spring steering control module. So we did.We were then told it did not fix the problem and needed to have another module replaced which we agreed to. We finally got our truck back from the dealership 6-7 months later in October/November 2023.November 2023 (mileage *****) Same issue ******** shifter" "Park immediately" I have not taken the truck back this time. It is still an unresolved issue. I would like to mention I contacted a customer service department for ********************** Ram "Stellantis" and they have credited me 2xs for part fees. I am very grateful for this good will gesture however I can no longer afford to continue paying for fixes even if it is just Labor.Business Response

Already had one lemon from this dealership. I am now on my replacement vehicle. Which within the first year needed new brakes and the start stop battery needed to be replaced (faulty part) now a little over 2 years (that is the battery warranty) the light automatically went on when I hit a certain amount of miles. *** covered under warranty and I need to have both replaced since they run off each other They asked me to call customer service to get resolved and my car has been there for 3 days without one call from customer service regarding my ticket number & zero repairs done. *** the manager from the dealer was very rude when I spoke to him. Truly cares about money and not customers . I now have to pick up a car that might not be safe to drive without repairs being done because nobody has touched my vehicle in 3 days, Im still hoping to resolve this issueBusiness Response

We were able to contact **** asking for assistance. Your vehicle is outside the warranty period but they will goodwill batteries for you with a $100.00 co-pay from you. Your brake noise would not be warranty due to being a Maintenace item but they don't need to be replaced because they are not worn out. please let us know if you would like to return for the goodwill batteries.Initial Complaint

The purpose of this letter to provide you physical written notice and directions to be enforced. On, 03/18/2017 I consummated a consumer credit contract under good faith and credit. This however, was and is not a loan. I would like to bring to your attention to the statue 16 CFR § 433.1(i) which iterates "Consumer credit contract is any instrument which evidences or embodies a debt arising from a "Purchase Money Loan" transaction or a "financed sale" as defined in paragraphs (d) and (e) of this section." With that in mind and proper understanding you can review the definition of a finance charge as it is legally defined in 12 CFR § 1026.4. With this is mind, I recall, joseph verbally implying that Glenn E. Thomas Chrysler jeep and dodge **************** required a down payment of $6,000. With these laws and sequence of events, verbally and otherwise, my federally protected rights have been violated. It is mentioned in Regulation Z that you can be fined up to $5,000 for giving false and inaccurate information as well as not providing the consumer with proper and respective disclosures. Thomas Chrysler jeep and dodge, have 30 calendar days to return the falsely and illegally obtained down payment of $6,000 to me, ************** to********************************************* , Upon receipt of this initial communication, I will keep note of all correspondence, or lack thereof, made by mail, telecommunications, and otherwise methods of communication. We do not understand why the customer is choosing this avenue to initiate a refund, this is the first we have heard from the customer since the purchase in 2016 regarding this issue with their purchase.
