Had a small oil leak on my car. Had Alfredo's replace power steering pump, low pressure hose and one cv boot. They said valve cover gaskets and front timing chain cover were going but shouldn't be a problem for awhile. Payed 760 dollars for work done but the next day same oil leak was on the driveway only worse. When I picked up car from shop I asked to see the old power steering pump but was told they didn't have it. They only had hose and cv boot. I tried to take car back to see if they would take care of it but got into an argument and was told to get lost. This is a one bay very small shop. But he charges 139 dollars an hour.

      Business response

      08/12/2023

The customer came to my shop on 08/01/2023 with a 2007 Lexus RX 350 complaining about an oil leak. Upon bringing the car into the shop, i found several leaks on the car. The leaks include, valve cover gasket, timing cover, and power steering pump along with a hose. I also found the boot on the passenger side of the rack and pinion needing replacing. I explained all this to the customer, he even came into my shop and was shown the leaks but denied wanting to do everything i recommended due to not having enough money at the time. He agreed to just the power steering pump, return hose, and having the boot on the rack and pinion replaced at that time. He agreed to the price and to begin the work on his car. I carried out all the work listed on the invoice. When the customer came to pick up the car, he was given an invoice and it was signed. The old parts that the customer says were not shown were picked up for core by the parts company i used. The customer was fully aware that the car would still leak due to not doing all the repairs. He called several days later complaining to me over the phone that his car was still leaking. He did NOT want to bring the car back. He was very aggressive over the phone, using foul language, and stated that he knew about working on cars, and a way to get the work done on his car for free. He tried intimidating me for a refund by stating he would report me to the Bureau.
