      Hi, on 6/3/22, Mr. M***** ordered (2) of Dynamic Friction Drum Brake Hardware Kit 370-76003, which is described as being the rear brake hardware kit for Toyota Tacoma trucks with 6-lug wheels on countless online retail store websites.  Mr. M***** provided excellent photos confirming he received these exact kits.  Mr. M***** later returned these sealed kits unopened (he didn't bother trying to install them on his truck).  The returned components EXACTLY match the manufacturer's photos as shown on countless retail websites, and are 100% confirmed to be Dynamic Friction Drum Brake Hardware Kit 370-76003.  In fact, Mr. M***** provided photos showing he purchased the very same hardware kits by another brand (Wearever kit 17255) and successfully installed them on his truck.  If you check online, you'll see that Dynamic Friction 370-76003 cross-references to Wearever 17255.

      Mr. M***** was fully refunded the purchase price of the (2) Dynamic Friction Drum Brake Hardware Kit 370-76003 on 6/29/22 via PayPal transaction 5********X866074E, see attachment.  Since all of Mr. M*****'s photos prove he received the exact items he ordered, and the (unopened) returned items indisputably prove he received the exact items he ordered, the shipping fees cannot be refunded.  Rather than ordering online and making assumptions regarding replacement components, we recommend that Mr. M***** have his vehicle serviced by a professional mechanic in the future.  Again, Mr. M***** was fully refunded the purchase price of the returned items on 6/29/22.

      I am rejecting this response because: I am a professional mechanic; I have worked on race cars in the Portland Speed Way circuit. We have been through this same rhetoric through my e-mails. This is one step in a process that everyone will see that dealing with this company is only beneficial to you and you alone. Your number on your product does not match my kit and you know it. Lying will not get you out of this situation. You already know that the kit you sold me had a clear bag and I could see inside the bag. Thus, the parts looked nothing close to what my parts were on my truck. I am making this complaint to alert others to your deception. If you, did it to me, you will do it to others when things go wrong, and you won't correct your error to the proper degree. If you had refunded at least the shipping that I paid for when you sent it to me, I would have been satisfied, but now I would like not only the shipping cost to send it but also the shipping cost that it took me to send it back to you too. Making excuses won't help your case. I know you dont care about your customers, and this proves it. Why would anyone want to deal with someone like you?

      Hi, please see attached Dynamic Friction Kit 370-76003 catalog photo, alongside a photo of the Dynamic Friction components that Mr. M***** received and returned, alongside Mr. M*****'s photo of the Wearever Kit 17255 that he installed on his truck.  As you can see, all three photos show the same components.  Mr. M*****'s own photos reveal the facts of this dispute.  Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

      I am rejecting this response because: These photos may look exactly alike to you, but if you placed them next to each other as I have, they are not identical in diameter or length. I know if you put two look alike vehicles side by side, they may look the same, but one may be a Toyota and the other a Subaru. Just because they look the same does not indicate that they are! It looks like your brake kit is more of a generic version and may fit another vehicle as well, but mine is specific to my vehicle and does fit. Yours still does not fit my vehicle! I would still like my shipping charges returned to me in good faith. Trusting your customers and knowing what they need is an essential part of a good company, and not trusting or believing your customers is a sign of a company that does not care about their customers and will soon be out of business. Customer service is key to a successful business.

      We ordered a DISA valve for my son's vintage BMW, and paid $47.08 for overnight shipping. Supposed to receive it the next day. They did not ship it until the following day (when we were supposed to receive it) and they don't even ship the parts - they just broker them as a third party middleman. The part (supposedly) was shipped a day late and then for unknown reasons FedEx returned it to the shipper -- which, by the way is not Carparts Discount. We do not even know who the shipper is. I went to BMW and bought the part and demanded a full refund from Carparts Discount. With the "overnight" shipping overcharge, I ended up paying BMW the same amount. Carparts Discount does not publish a street address or a phone number, which I learned only from BBB is ###-###-####. Of course they do not actually answer the phone, which is why I assume they don't publish the number. Probably some guy sitting in his mom's basement playing auto parts broker.

      Ordered brakes for my car. The money was removed from my account and then the company canceled my order without telling me and has yet to refund my money.

      Hi, this order was never canceled, and in fact was delivered Monday, 5/2/2022 at 11:21am.  The warehouse accidentally wrinkled the FedEx label (tracking *********394) when they applied it to the box, so they voided that label and replaced with a new label (tracking number *********220).  We never said anything to Ms. J****** about cancelling the order, but it's understandable when she noticed that the original tracking number was voided.  In the future, we recommend contact us regarding order status (we're open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PST) before taking the time to submit a complaint to the BBB.

      The wrong 2 car part items were shipped. There website search never prompted me to a VIN, just year, make and model of vehicle. I provided that information and it said items would fit my car. They have accepted the return of the items, but they refuse to pay for Shipping (approx 160.00) The total of purchase was $237.00. The only way of knowing items were incorrect is by knowing 2016 Hyundai made 2 Tucsons that year. (electric/Hydrogen and Gas Powered). Only a parts person in this case Carparts Discount would know that information. That's How I found also.So basically there saying it's my fault., I rcv'd wrong items. BTW they don't carry the parts I needed for my vehicle. Go Figure...I believe Carparts Discount should pay for return shipping and complete refund.

      Hi, Mr. G**** visited our online store and purchased ACI brand Window Regulator part number 380410, and ACI Window Regulator 380412.  Our website shows that these regulators fit only the ELECTRIC/HYDROGEN version of 2016-2017 Hyundai Tucson.  Mr. G**** has the gasoline-powered "Tucson SE" version of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, which does NOT have an electric/hydrogen engine.  We do not sell the window regulators for the gasoline version of this particular vehicle (due to low demand), which Mr. G**** can purchase from his local Hyundai dealer.

      Mr. G**** ignored the manufacturer's product descriptions and purchased items that are not compatible with his car, but blames our store for his mistake.  The situation would be the same if Mr. G**** needed a blue t-shirt, but went to the store and bought a red t-shirt - and then was upset with the store because he bought the wrong shirt.  Our website provides item fitment details so that customers can select the parts they need, but online auto parts stores have no way to stop people from buying the wrong parts, as happened in this case.

      We're happy to accept return of the items in new, unused, resellable condition as long as they're still in the original ACI packaging and not damaged from handling or shipping.  Please ask Mr. G**** to return the items for a refund.  Mr. G****'s greatly-exaggerated claim that return shipping will cost $160 is absurd.

      Returned items should be in the manufacturer's original packaging and packed inside an OUTER shipping box (to prevent damage to the ACI packaging). Put the items you wish to return in a box with ALL of the manufacturer’s original packing material, instructions, etc and seal box securely.  Write Return Authorization #24258 in big numbers on the outer shipping box, and ship the package (via FedEx or UPS) to the return address emailed on 12/22/2021.

      Refunds are usually issued about four business days after the return is delivered.
