I am being charged for something that I have no option to choose not use it because the business has set it up that way.

As you already know, gingival irrigation is a part of all dental cleanings in our office. This is not something new. It is a part of your periodontal maintenace visit. I am aware that your dental insurance doesn't cover the irrigation, but it is standard of care. Unfortuantely, dental insurance or coverage or insurance should not and will not guide what is beneficial for our patients. Evidence Based Research does. You are more than welcome to take this matter up with your dental insurance and they will tell you the same. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns.

I had an appointment with SIMI VALLEY PERIODONTICS on March/23/2022. The day before the appointment, 03/22/2022, I tested positive for Covid, which I decided to check due to headache and sneezing during the day. I found out I was positive for Covid on Tuesday afternoon and could not notified this office on that day, so I called on Wednesday morning and explained I could not come to the 1:30 appointment due to my condition. The lady "Doctor" came to the phone and told me I would be charge still. I indicated that I should not be charge since it was not my fault to miss the appointment. I received a bill for $50 which I believe is an illegal charge since I notified this office as soon as possible.Business response
