I bought a 2011 optima *** from this lot . The day of purchase the check engine light is not on the next couple days it came on. ***** told us we need to drive it a bit so the light can go off and we could do a smog check . I told him over and over how are you going to do the smog without fixing the problem. I bought it to him and he had his mechanic fix it but the same problem was there because it still sounded the same. So he said they did the smog so I was ok. Which I wanted to see the smog because the light on and its a serious problem with the fuel system. But I still havent gotten it. I complain to the finance manager at the time *** that I would like to get another car but I was told I couldnt because it was sold as is and they only do that if fares feels theres no life left which there isnt I got the car three months ago and had the same problems from day one which I stated over again again. Now the car isnt running at all and was told to bring 2000 for another car.Initial Complaint

June 4 2023 I bought a kia ****** and put a **** down payment on the vehicle July 18 the car engine had a major malfunction and it was no longer drivable it was towed by knight auto trader where I purchased my vehicle I was than denied foe a rental vehicle and had to spend **** on Uber and left to get back and forth to anywhere I needed to go I shared this information with knight auto trader but was told to wait for a rental vehicle he than Accommodated me with one of his spare vehicles from his used car lot, which was a kia ***** *********************************** the local areas due to it also having major issues asked if he had any other vehicle that was in good condition i was told no I was also told my vehicle would be ready August 14 2023 I called August 11th to verify this information and was told my car has even gotten worked on I asked why and was told the warranty is giving them a hard time I again asked for if there was arental available in better condition he told me he was going to switch me out with another car the next day but I haven't heard from him since and it's been 4 days I called my warranty they told me that there is basically no warranty and that it wasn't handled by knight auto trader at time of purchase and its been pending since the purchase date (june 4 2023) its is now Aug 14th I still have no word on my car or where its at or if it will be getting fixed soon I'm still paying my monthly bills car 314 car note and 356 insurance and I haven't even drove the car at this Point the customer service is so bad I just want my **** down-payment back and for knight auto trader to cancel the loan and for them to pay the remaining balance because I feel non prioritize as a first time buyer I feel as if I'm being lied to and every promise made has been broken by the company and since dealing with them I've spent hundreds and thousands on a car and its only been in my possession for 36 days and I just want to cut ties with this place for goodInitial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle 2010 Nissan Sentra in march 5th 2022 from Knight Auto Trader. With 24 hours I notified them there was issues with the vehicle, horn doesn't work, I had to replace the lower arm control $200 out of pocket an it started shifting funny. The warranty is 30 days and it's for motor and transmission at no cost to me. He is refusing to fix the issue and will not respond to messages now. My warranty is almost expired. Total cost for car out the door was $5300 and $200 out of my pocket for repairs now it needs a transmission. It has been looked at by a certified mechanic.Business response

We are writing you back in response to complaint number 169**453, we never refused service to the customer, we are and were in contact with the customer, last contact with customer was March 29th, which is after the complaint was filed, and before we were notified of the complaint.
