June 21, I'm not sure of the date I ordered, my Discover card would have that info. I got the item which was a Polar Cooler Portable AC X 1. I got the item on June 25, 2024. In order to use the item , I had to get an USB Cable 5V/2A Adapter, in which I did. I also ordered the Artic Air Pure Chill 2.0, in which I had to do the same thing, get an adapter. I followed directions putting the item together and putting water in it and then plugging it in. I had it sitting on my counter to cool off my kitchen.I had both of them going, but not side by side. Plugged in to separate outlets. Something told me that I needed to check them and when I checked the plug, man was that hot. This is why I said it was dangerous to any person. Because one should be able to run it for about 10 hours. I did not let either one run over 15 mins. That plug was hot enough so that I feared that if I had left the house even just for a few minutes, I might find my place on fire. I was charged also for *** Club X 1 - $9.99 in which I have no idea what it was , I had stated if it was a club, etc., it was nothing I wanted. There was no explanation to what the *** Club was. I wrote and explained that I would send it back, to let me know and that I wanted my money back. I did get my money back from the Arctic Air Pure Chill 2.0 , so there is no complaint here on my funds. But that one is just as dangerous as this Polar Cooling item is. The Adapter, got very , very hot and thank God, I did not leave my home for any amount of time. I really don't think I would have had a home standing if I had left it running like I would my ceiling fan. The telephone number I found, was not listed according to the telephone operator. ****** DCustomer response

Yes, I got notices from both companies stating that they had refunded me back my
money from those dangerous so called mini air conditioners. I even called my Discover
credit card *** to check to see if my money was refunded back into my card. The gal
that I talked to verified that I had gotten back my money. What I didn't know was the
fact that the Polar Cooling Portable AC X 1 was under the name of Modern Life ***
I was never informed that, plus I did not get back the shipping **** which was $8.99
and the $9.99 for what they called VIP Club X 1. I'm not too concerned about the
shipping of $8.99, but I am a little concerned about what they called VIP Club X 1.
I asked what it was and they ( ****, the Customer Care *** ) would not tell me. I
think that I will persue that on my own. Thank you, ****** D
