I purchased a new Tesla Model 3 on 08/02/2023. On 08/07/2023, I placed an order for a set of hubcaps from the Mayde storefront on Amazon.com, with an order number of 111-8559875-3077022. The total amount paid for the hubcaps was $212.34. After installing the hubcaps per your instructions, I drove the vehicle approximately 500 miles. I removed the hubcaps to wash the wheels as I detailed the vehicle. Upon removal, I noticed the hubcaps had damaged several points on each of the wheels as shown in the attached photos. These points are not where the wheel clips and clearly demonstrate a defect with the hubcaps.Regrettably, this defect caused significant damage to my Tesla Model 3 wheels. As a result, I will have to replace the entire set of wheels. The cost of the replacement set quoted by ***** is $1941.87. Given the defective nature of the hubcaps, I request full reimbursement of $1941.87 for the replacement cost of my Tesla Model 3 wheels plus reimbursement for lost compensation in the amount of $1200 to cover lost work dealing with the repairs.
