Hello,In June of 2022, I canceled my mail box service with Postal Plus, a commercial mail receiving agency (CMRA). Prior to canceling my mail box with Postal Plus, in July of 2021, I got a new mail box with another CMRA, as I was not happy with the changes that were taken place with Postal Plus. For nearly 11 months, as I received mail at Postal Plus, I would put in an address change with the businesses I received mail from. By the time my contract was up for renewal, I thought I had informed all places I do business with of my new address. When I informed the owner of Postal Plus I was canceling my box, I asked him what he was going to do with any mail that *** come in that I *** have missed. He informed me he would return the mail to the sender. I told him according to the ************* Post Master website, he had to hold my mail for six months and I would come in to check for any mail I *** have received. We went back and forth and I even went to the **** to see what could be done. I tried to put in an address change with the **** but **** does not accept an address change from businesses who are considered CMRA. In July, I went to Postal Plus and the owner gave me one piece of mail without any problems. Today, when I went to Postal Plus, he refused to give me any mail I *** have received and told me I would have to pay to have my mail delivered to me. I told him he was holding my mail hostage and I would not pay to have it mailed to me when I can pick it up. *** asked him to show me my contact I signed with Postal Plus in 2018 and he could not find my contract.
