I purchased a bridal hair and makeup package which included a trial run. I had a horrible experience with the trial run and decided to cancel. I did not describe to the owner the issue with her employee as I felt like it was my word against hers. I simply asked for the 50% refund from the signed contract. *************** refused stating that she does not give refunds ever and in fact she charges a 50% additional fee for canceling and she was waving it. The contract does not state anywhere that there is no refund only that a 50% of the bridal package is charged. The way I read it is that I am owed 50% back as my package was paid in 2019 and delayed due to Covid. She is refusing me now, after I reached out multiple times for clarification on the policy, she stated that I have given no good reason to cancel. I felt belittled and shamed in her employees office and I do not wish to discuss that experience with her as I have a hard time to put my feelings out there. I know she might have been willing to assign another person to my wedding party but I feel as a consumer I should have the right to cancel and not feel stressed on such an important day in my life. My hope is to get the 50% refund owed to me and nothing more. I am not asking for the full recovery as I am the one who entered into the contract knowing that there would never be a full refund. I am attaching the contract.
