I paid $5,500 to become a graduate from an accredited trucking school, a requirement of my future employer, JAK logistics who contracts with ****** I had no experience driving a commercial ********************************* I received no financial assistance. I spent my entire savings to receive 160 hours ( 30 days) of training to not only receive a formal accredited certificate but to actually be able to drive a truck and trailer. This did not happen. I received a total of **** hours of drive time behind the wheel before the course was to end. & it *** testing time. I failed my first 2 attempts, the *** truck had parts in the cab I had never seen before. 2nd fail, was backing up, I had only done that once before. Both tests were scheduled days apart. After your first two *** tests if you have to take again the school charges you $500 each time to use their truck. They need that truck to start their new course with 14 more new students. Four weeks out meant ***** couldnt wait another month for me. I had to purchase another $1,500 different truck school to teach me to drive behind the wheel in a 3 day crash course, I now had 14 more hours behind the wheel. I called the corporate office of Western Pacific & asked if they would consider a refund for the extra money I had ti spend on a different school just to pass my *** test. I called every week for 6 weeks. I was hoping they could see this was not truthful advertising. Their website is misleading when it states 160 hours of schooling to graduate with accreditations and receive your *** license. I finally was told by ***** at corporate, the general manager denied any refund due to not following protocol. This place has one truck for 14 exiting students to test on at the *** & 14 new students to learn from , how is that accredited in any form of trucking school. It is physically impossible to achieve this. This has caused such a financially burden on our family having to pay an additional $1,500 to receive what they did not offer.
