On September 28, 2023, I received a blow dry and attempted to pay with a Drybar gift card that was purchased by my husband. The manager told me that the business ownership has changed and they no longer accept Drybar gift cards. I asked how they were unable to accept a gift card that has the name of their company on it and it was money they have benefitted from. She said it was just their policy and would not accept it. I told her I have 3 others at home and I would not have received the service if I knew they were not going to honor a gift that was already paid for. I asked if I could have the contact info for a supervisor and she provided an email address to me: ******************************************************** and ************************************************************ On October 10, 2023, I sent an email to both email addresses explaining how the manager declined my gift card. I also stated that a company that changes ownership and maintains the company name is liable to honor gift cards purchased for that business. The company was purchased and did not involve a bankruptcy, Drybar is required to honor the assets obtained by those that have already provided money to obtain the service. No one ever responded to my email or attempted to contact me. In fact there seemed to absolutely zero concern for my complaint, which I have come to realize is a complaint for numerous other individuals that are in possession of Drybar gift cards. I don't want money back, but I would like the company to honor my gift cards as well as those of other people that are in the same predicament. I have attached an image of the gift card I attempted to use, but I have 2 others.
