      This is how the Ooma cancellation scam works. When you try to cancel service the slick employee on the phone tells you he is cancelling but DO NOT. They ported my number to my new carrier but still continued to charge me. They said that they sent an email giving me a new number but Ididn't ask for a new number I asked for my account to be closed. I noticed they 6 months later that they were still charging my company. What a great trick and they have got you. This is their con. Now I'm going to have to waste hours of time getting into the legal process with them. I wish I had never heard of this company.

      This company is a complete scam! Promised a 30 day trial. Could never access the system. Sent me phones that could only be used with OOMA. Then tried to tell me that if Ii cancelled I needed to pay $598 for an early term fee, which was never disclosed. The sales rep assured me that OOMA Office was comparable to Dialpad, but that was an outright lie. Not only do I want the upfront money back that I paid, but I want to know while during the closing call, this early term fee wasn't disclosed. DON'T FILE FOR THE **** OR THE ***** PITCH! IT'S ALL LIES.

      ************* is great. However, it says on the company's website that "Ooma + Amazon Echo:Voice-activated access to your Telo. With Amazon Echo and its voice-enabled smart home assistant, *****, initiate phone calls by number or contact name, and check voicemail through Oomas cloud-based platform." This sounds great especially for someone with mobility challenges, but it isn't true. It is not possible to make Ooma calls on an Echo device. I have spent hours going back and forth between Amazon and Ooma with each company telling me that I need to call the other one to resolve the issue. I finally gave up, but I called Ooma that they should remove the false information from their website, then they told me again to contact Amazon.I should add that it was very difficult to get anyone at Ooma to actually stop reading me their scripted answers and listen to what I was trying to tell them. I hope that I don't have any problems with my Ooma phone service because customer care and tech support were just terrible.

      Do not fall for this scam of a company. I signed my business up for Ooma and had to cancel within a month because it never worked. It totally messed up my phone service to my business. I cancelled this service but just found out they have been charging me asnd never cancelled even though someone came and picked up all equipment. The sales reps were very nice but once I signed up they were nowhere to be found and I never got any type of a respnse from them personally.

      While the quality of service and pricing at Ooma are satisfactory, the customer service requires significant improvement. Here is a detailed account of the issues I have encountered:Lack of Security: I discovered that anyone can call Ooma and request a transfer of a phone number under my name, and Ooma will complete the transfer without any authorization from me. This indicates a serious lack of security on their part. When I discovered this, I called to confirm how such a breach could occur and to ensure my account was closed.Unauthorized Charges: Despite my efforts, I noticed another charge on my card two months later. Upon calling again to inquire about the charge, I was assured it was a mistake and that it would not happen again. They apologized but could not issue a credit, advising me instead to file a claim with my credit card company.Failure to Close Account: Four months later, I received a call stating that I had a balance due on an account I had already attempted to close twice. During my initial 23-minute call, the representative assured me that the account would be closed and that I would receive a cancellation email within 10 minutes. When I did not receive the email, I called again and spoke with someone who claimed to be a supervisor. She informed me that my account could not be closed due to an outstanding balance that needed to be paid first.Repeated Failed Attempts: Since November 29th, I have made four different calls to cancel this account, speaking with over four representatives, each providing different information and transferring me between departments. Despite these efforts, my account remains open.These issues highlight a significant deficiency in Oomas customer service and account management procedures. I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter promptly and effectively. I would appreciate any guidance or intervention you can provide to ensure that my account is properly closed .

      Terrible service any way you look at it. Only calls we were getting were SPAM and you, of course, have to pay for PREMIUM to get rid of SPAM calls. As bad as *************** are, their SPAM rejection was included. Anyhow, device goes off line, you notice a day or two later. Last time it was down for days we decided to just get rid of it. Of course the myooma.com app doesn't allow you to terminate so I uninstalled it and threw it away. A month later we get nasty grams. Call customer service and trying to actually get them to terminate was laughable. Did you try this? We offer this (for ADDITIONAL money), etc etc. Finally they start trying to collect for unused time "you do realize you agreed to pay whether you use the service or not". Unreal. Their records can clearly show when the last time their device successfully connected to the service. After about 20 minutes of this circular argument he claims to have terminated the service and they will no longer try and collect on this (unused) account. We'll see how this goes.Note to others: Stay away from OOMA.

      Terrible experience. They said I just needed to buy the phone and base station and pay the local taxes, which are $7/mo. Without notification they "upgraded" me to "premium" service for an additional $11/mo. You can't cancel online. You have to call the help desk in *****. They spent 30 min trying to talk me into keeping the service and add home security monitoring. Is this 1997? Call quality was terrible too.

      The customer service is abhorrent. They say they will email you or call you back but they never do. They promise things they cant deliver and when you go to cancel because of this they wont issue a refund because you didnt cancel the same day you signed up. Dont get me started with the supervisors. Ill save you the suspense they promise to call you back Dont worry Im a supervisor! - They dont call back.
