I visited the VIP Urgent Care on February 21, 2024 at the instruction of the Veterans Affairs (VA) Nurse Advice Line for flu-like symptoms. I presented my active Veteran ID card (attachment 1) the beginning of my visit as it serves as my insurance card. I am a priority group 1 veteran as I receive 90% disability reimbursements from the ** (attach. 2), which means I do not have any copayments for urgent care visits (verifiable on VA website) This was only my first urgent care visit in 2024, second in the 2024 fiscal year. This Urgent **** center IS within my network, discoverable on VA website, and therefore I received the proper authorization from my insurance company (attach. 3) (reference # is the phone call where I verified the authorization and coverage payment.) Despite this, VIP Urgent Care refuses to refund me the payment which was wrongfully taken from me. Attachment 4 is proof theyre in my insurance network. Attachment 5 and 6 explains the priority group meanings, from VA website. Attachment 7 & 8 is the bill VIP Urgent Care sent me, and subsequent charge.
