I purchased a female 10-week-old German Shepherd puppy from Kathleen C**, owner of this "Rescue" in March 2012. I noticed that she is still selling puppies on *********.com and has been doing so continuously since my Purchase more than 9 years ago. I have read similar reports about her on ***.org and *********.org and the stories are all essentially the same. I applied for a puppy online, which was approved. She contacted me and told me a friend of hers found a litter of German Shepherd puppies which had been abandoned in a box behind a store. (I should have realized that this is a highly unlikely scenario). I drove about 40 miles to meet her in a store parking lot. She did not allow people to come to her house/facility to see the conditions the dogs are housed in. I signed a contract and paid her $375. She stated, and it was stipulated in the contract, that she would reimburse me $75.00 when I got the puppy spayed. The following day I took her to my veterinarian who stated that the puppy was not healthy and was "extremely emaciated" (his exact words). I did not notice this because the puppy had so much long thick fur. She had an intestinal infection with diarrhea that took weeks to clear. Her illness delayed her getting spayed by several weeks because they cannot operate on a sick animal. She was spayed about 2 1/2 months later. I sent the paperwork into Kathleen C** who ignored it. She would not return my emails or phone calls and I never heard from her again. She appears on Petfinder about every two months or so with a new litter of German Shepherd puppies or German Shepherd mix puppies for sale. She told me during our initial phone call that her parents used to breed German Shepherd puppies when she was a child. I believe that she is breeding them currently and fraudulently representing them as "rescues." She continues to sell sick puppies and lying to people about reimbursements for spaying/neutering. Based on my experience as well as that of others, it is obvious that these puppies are being raised in squalid conditions without proper nutrition or medical care. Such malfeasance is disgusting and should be stopped. The dog I purchased from her lived until this year (age 9), dying of cancer (lymphoma). As a puppy, she required intensive training for a difficult temperament, which helped. However, she continued to have some problems which included growling at anyone who approached her while eating or sleeping.

Well first I am sorry for your loss but his happened how many years ago???? We do not breed dogs all of our puppies come from various places where the people in those communites do not spay or neuter their dogs so we are called to come pick them up. We have been doing rescue for 17 years and 99% of the people who adopt from us are extremely happy and we still have alot of people who readopt from us over and over again. Oh and I am from ****** and we do not cheat people or deceive anyone. I grew up there for 30 years and my childhood home is still there.
