I have a 7-year warranty for a new garage door installed in December 2023. My garage door is stuck. A s**** came out and now the garage door will not close. This incident happened today, June 11, 2024 around 1:00 pm and it is now 4:28 pm, and the company hasn't resolved the issue. I have called Garage Door and Gate Repair six times. The lady who answers apologizes for the manager not contacting me. I want my garage door fixed. I called ************** and the email address is *********************************** I hope you can help them change their tactics when dealing with a customer with an emergency.

We thought commercial garage door springs were installed on 8/28/2023, instead we believe Garage Door and Gate Repair installed residential garage door springs. The company came out and took one of our original garage door springs on 8/22/23 so that the exact measurements could be taken and the correct springs ordered. On October 30th 2023 the garage door came crashing down, luckily there were no people or cars underneath. We immediately called the company and spoke to ***** who said she would have the manager *********** us. A technician came out the next day at approximately 12:30pm (October 31, 2023) and advised us that the springs that were installed were too small and that the company would give us a call.We then called the company again on October 31, 2023 and spoke to ******, she said supervisor *** would give us a call.On November 2, 2023, supervisor **** called our company and scheduled technician ***** to come out the next day. On November 3, 2023 technician ***** came out at approximately 10:00am. When he looked at our garage door springs he advised us that he only does residential and not commercial and that we need to call the garage door company. We did call the company and this time spoke with ***** at 10:03am. Once again we were told that *** would reach out to us. The garage door is dangerous and comes crashing down every once in a while. We don't know when it will come crashing down on someone coming in or on a vehicle. We have reached out numerous times and this company does not care to either repair, replace or give an answer or refund. We have called the company several times asking for their mailing address as we would like to put our concerns on paper and mail it to them. They refuse to give us their mailing address. We would really like a refund so that we can call a reputable garage door company and fix our dangerous problem.

On Friday, Sept 1st, 2023, I contacted this company. We had used them before and even though we felt they overcharged, there are very few companies that work on our custom bi-fold garage door. **** - one of the many Alexs that work at this company - said the springs needed to be replaced and quoted me $1500 for doing so. I paid him a $500 deposit that day. On Sept 6th someone came out and measured the springs. A number of people kept calling me from this company asking if they could come out to take a look at the job and I kept telling them someone already had. I told **** and he said no one else should be calling me. So - dont know if that means this is just a shell website that has a number of people that work with them or what. Someone came back to install the springs on Sept 22nd and in the process broke one of the glass panels on the door. Smashed it. What followed were numerous texts and phone calls from both me and my tenant (who lives in the house) to ****. He kept saying they needed to order the glass, then that they had ordered the glass, and when it came in they would come out and fix it. I also called the office on numerous occasions and they kept telling me a manager would call me right back. Lies. This went on until December 1st. **** (and the folks in the office) always had an excuse and he finally admitted that they didnt have a glass person. We had the glass replaced by a glass company - not an exact match, but close enough. Since then, I got a recommendation from a friend for another company. They came out to try and fix the door but apparently a part was missing. That had to have happened when the techs came to put in the springs. I have asked from my $500 deposit back many times. No response ************ should not be in business - they are total scam artists.

On 11/13 I called two numbers trying to get new garage door opener replaced with unit I already purchased. First attempt, a guy names ***** with CALI GARAGE DOOR came out dressed in normal clothes and seemed shady with a high price of $500. I then decided to call Safety Garage Door. They instantly gave me a quote of $250 for changing out the door opener assembly with the new unit I purchased already. They seemed professional and had great reviews on Yelp. The appointment was for 11:00am next day, the 14th.I then get a call back from Cali Garage Door (CGR). I tell them I already went with another company.I then get a text from **** stating: "Hello my name is **********'m a tech for THE GARAGE DOOR COMPANY, have earlier opening, wanted to confirm appointment tomorrow between 10am-12pm, reply "C" to confirm." I reply stating I can't do earlier ****, " I'm **** with Cali garage door and gate services. I will see you tomorrow between 11am-12am" (*did not notice reply he changed the name to Cali garage door till the scam went down)Now, since I only made an appointment with SAFETY GARAGE DOOR, I think **** works for them. He shows up next day in regular clothes and beat up van. After looking over he adds $100 to quote to remove old door opener. I tell him the price on the phone was $250 and I made this clear about the removal part on the call. Anyway, I ended up going with the $350 for now and let him start the work because I am going to dispute this with the company management right now. Right after he starts, I look up the website for Safety Garage Door to ensure I got the name right. I then call the number and spoke with ****. I complained to him the price we agreed on was $250 and confirmed with him that the name of business is SAFETY GARAGE DOOR...he said "YES."I then look at SAFETY GARAGE DOOR website and am thinking why is the van not the professional business truck similar to shown on the webpage. I then ask ****, the tech, "do you work for SAFETY GARAGE DOOR?"....he replied "Yes." Now I get a text from the actual Safety Garage Door saying they are on their way to my house. Truck shows up clearly marked as Safety Garage Door. They get out confused and so am I. I told them their tech already finished the job. They asked the tech (****) do you work for SAFETY Garage Door?...he replied YES. An incident then broke out in my driveway because a fake company is using another companies name and doing work under it. SGD then called the police to report fraud. I did not pay for the service because ****/Dany/Cali Garage Door/Garage *********** Services, or whatever they say the business name at the moment they want to call it, is lying. The real company SGD even told me not to pay them because they are scammers and using other business name.Fast forward, to 12/7, **** from the scamming company contacted me and wants payment. In summary, I contacted two companies (Cali Garage ************* Garage Door). I decided not to go with first one CGR because they were shady and overpriced. Made an appointment with Safety Garage Door SGD. Then I was scammed by first company when they maliciously lied about who they are and that we had an appointment. CGR then replaced my door opener impersonating SGD and increased price. Then the scam unfolds when SGD and I catch CGR working under their name. I did not pay for the services as advised by SGD. I am being contacted by **** with CGR or Garage Door and & **** Services. He is threatening to file a lien on my house now if I don't pay.Desired outcome:-Hold ********** Garage Door/ Garage *********** Services/ Garage *********** Repair accountable for lying about their name and using multiple names.-Find out whom the actual business/owner is with license number and address (if there is one)-Come to resolution of less than $250 (maybe $100) and document the payment formally. I desire to pay nothing at all because they are scammers and I am not sure if the opener was installed professionally. Who knows if I will need to call for services to have it repaired like similar complaints on BBB for their unprofessional work. I never would have agreed for them to even come to my house again if they used their real name. No way I would pay market rate pricing for a fake business.**** has called and texted from ************ most recently. There has been at least 4 different numbers I've been contacted from these scammers. I still have all the texts and an invoice from this number on 12/6/23

**** Garage Door appears to discreetly work as Garage Door and Gate Repair and have the same owner. Garage Door and Gate Repair is used to SCAM people while **** buys leads and keeps good reviews to attract customers on Yelp, ***** and other lead providers. These technicians are not trained or educated and do a a very bad and incomplete job. They prefer cash or Zille for setting your garage door to be OFF BALANCE so it fails within few weeks. As I understand Hebrew, the technicians purposefully set the door in a way so the motor works too hard and breaks the cables or the motor. Warranty information is a scam only to get paid. Several people have had this experience in the *** ******** valley and invoices with warranty information do not have an address. https://www.*******************************************************

I got a garage opener from this company called Garage door and repair company. The person who put the new garage open, his name was Jacob, gave me a warranty of 5 years for parts and 2 years for labor. he also told me that "Lift opener" is top of a line garage opener. He charged me $850 at that time. He was asking for more money, but then he said that if I pay him cash, he will do the entire work for $850. The garage opener stopped working after 4 months. I called the same company again. The person who picked up the phone told me that technician will be in my home soon. I had to call 2-3 times then supervisor called me and told me that there are sensors near the garage, try adjusting them and it will work. I tried adjusting the sensors, but the garage did not work. I called them again that garage is not working. They did send the technician later and technician looked at the warranty very carefully and then he told that wires are not good, he need to replace the wires and he will charge $250 for that. I said, it is covered under the warranty. He told me wires are not covered under the warranty. I said let me call your company and find out, He said if you want to pay less $250 than pay me $100 cash and I will replace the wires, but I won’t give you any warranty. I said No, I don’t want you do the job without the warranty. He said lot of abusive words to me and left. I called the Garage door and repair company and told the receptionist about the technician behavior, the receptionist apologized to me and said, I will send another technician. Another technician came and he told me that the lift opener motor is burned inside. I said that this is a new opener and is covered by warranty. I showed him the warranty too. He told me that I can talk to the supervisor, and they will decide what to do next. Supervisor was extremely rude. He said, he won’t honor the warranty, he is losing too much money in it. I told him if you are losing too much money then why do you even give the warranty. I would have gone with another company, who honors the warranty. He said the warranty that you have is fake warranty, its a warranty on the paper and they dont honor that. I said your technician gave me this warranty and your company name is on the warranty. He said how do I know that the opener was installed by our company the very first time and he started accusing me that the technician that is there is not from his company. I asked him to talk to the technician. After talking to the technician, he said that look I am very tired and I don’t want to talk to you. I am not sure how the other technician installed the garage opener in $850. I don’t honor this anymore. You need to pay $300 then he will install the new opener and if you want the garage to be fixed the take this offer or leave it. I said, it is too dark and it is not safe that the garage will be open all night. I don’t want to pay $300 for something that should be covered under your warranty. He said take my offer or leave it. Since, it was already dark, I didn’t have any option, but to pay the technician $300 and have him install the other opener. Supervisor was extremely rude and he was constantly accusing me that I am not the customer, the warranty is fake. The technician that was sent is not from his company. I was astonished by his unprofessional behavior and not covering the warranty.
