Adding YET ANOTHER NEGATIVE REVIEW for Accord Appliance in *********They were assigned a washer service visit through American Home Shield.They responded very promptly and set up an appointment the next morning - likely because they have a lot of time on their hands, as they likely never do any REAL REPAIRS based on the Yelp ratings/comments and the BBB complaints/ratings that I wish I had seen before I allowed AHS to send them.The tech took pictures of the suspension system failure in the washer that caused the basket to drop and bounce inside the machine. He also took pictures of the resulting damage to the basket lip. The report they filed with AHS figured the basket damage prominently, apparently, as *** denied the claim as "physical damage" which is not covered.I requested Accord to resubmit the claim with a clarification as to CAUSE AND EFFECT (similar to other Accord Applicance reviewers on Yelp): PARTS failure leads to physical damage when things are moving - NOT homeowner-caused misuse or damage.They refused twice, saying "did you see the pictures?", and say there is nothing more they can do. (Yes - I saw the pictures, and yes - I can see inside my own washing machine, master of the obvious...)Nothing more they can do, eh? OK, it will be interesting to see if "nothing more they can do" means "I will respond to yet another negative BBB or Yelp review from you with a non-responsive/non-helpful reply full of excuses/deflection".One star rating because there is no ZERO star rating.Review from Wilford P

They are scamming people out of *****. That is basically what the technician told me .They sent their technician out twice with grease,and they knew what part was needed.The technician showed me the part that was needed. I'm sure you all understand the 1 star is really 0 stars. Horrible company. Need washer and microwave fixed. They refuse to do anything if it still works intermittently. The left and did nothing. Washer was actually smoking and made a service request with the insurance company again. They refuse to come back apparently because multiple service requests get cancelled. Do not call them if you need something repaired. If you are at the mercy of the insurance company, cancel the insurance company and stash away those monthly payments to use when something goes wrong and you can call a reputable company instead.Review from Allyn F

NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Quick to setup service call. Only positive thing. Not a company with a whole lot of integrity.While speaking with the person scheduling the appointment, provided detailed information to save the company and technician time on the service call. Issue was Washer door not locking due to piece broken inside. Provided a four hour window for the appointment. When Service Technician from Accord Appliance showed up, I was on a conference call and had my Son explained to the Service Technician the issue. Service Technician showed up, looked at the Washer, DID NOT performed no work whatsoever and told my Son to call the American Home Shield. Indicated we ******** with the Washer and had to call the ********************** Work Order Invoice was basically blank. Had only my contact information, warranty provider, warranty work order number, appliance type, make (which was wrong) model number and serial number. Problem Section: Completely blank Service Performed Section: Completely blank Parts Section: Completely blank, etc.Tried calling Accord Appliance with the phone number the American Home Shield and the phone number listed on the Work Order Invoice slip several times. More than 75% of the time when you called the call was literally routed directly to American Home Shield vs. Accord Appliance picking up. Sometime you would actually get through, get on hold and then the line gets disconnected.Shared ALL facts with American Home Shield, hopefully American Home Shield update the internal operating practices and NOT UTILIZE Accord Appliance as a vendor and/or contractor to provide service to their customers.Review from Paul R

The WORST appliance repair service company I know. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE contact these people. American Home Shield assigned them to repair my dishwasher in ***********. And all they did was continually NOT SHOW UP 3 times in a row. And then lie again and again saying "oh this time we'll be there".1st visit was fine. They determined that the ice maker was broken and they ordered another part. When that arrived, we set up a new appointment to install the part. And that's where the problem started.They missed THREE separate appointments in a row.. Each time, they never called to say they weren't coming. Nor could their rude dispatcher even explain what happened. No call, no explanation and no apology. Three times in a row they just never showed up. My tenant sat there waiting all day three separate times. For every appointment, I called their dispatcher to insure that this time they'd really be there. Each time this horrible dispatcher said "yes" and that she'd call me back with a more precise time. But each time, she never called back. And they never showed up. When I called her back after each missed appointment, she simply said "I don't know what happened" and offered to reschedule for another day. When I finally got angry after three missed appointments in a row, this terrible dispatcher simply HUNG UP ON ME when I started to complain. And when I called American Home Shield to complain about this rude, unprofessional behavior and continuous "no shows", they tried to set up a conference call to resolve the situation but ACCORD REFUSED.So three weeks later and three separate missed appointments in a row, I've still got a broken refrigerator. With a company that won't even call me back. With no resolution, no apology and no explanation. Rudest, most unprofessional company I've ever met. They set appointments and never show. Hang up if you dare complain. And lie over and over again that "the next time will be different."Review from Christie R

We are at the mercy of American Home Warranty. We put in. Service call for 3/26/2024 which accord sent is confirmation. They did not show but some body called but failed to answer the call. We called the number several times nobody answered and there was no voicemail. We have been assigned this company thru AHW in the past and have the same issues every time.Review from Rebecca H

I was referred to Accord through American home shield pm 1/7/24 when my refrigerator quit working. They came on 1/11/24 and determined a part was needed and they would rush it. I then find out the part will not be in until 1/24/24, no one called me so I called today to find that the "wrong part was ordered" and the correct part will not be in until 2/5/24! When I told ******* that was unacceptable, she put me on hold then hung up on me, and repeatedly continued to hang up when I attempted to call back. I just need my refrigerator working!!!!Review from Robert W

Accord Appliance Repair contracts with American Home Sheild to service your repairs. I have had nothing but trouble with Accord and American Home Sheild. I have been trying to get my Fridge fixed since 11/3/23 and now it's 12/13/23 and they still haven't fixed it after multiple attempts. I am not alone just look at their complaints since last year. I would stay away from Accord and American Home Sheild. It is nothing but *********!Review from Susan C

I agree 100% with all the reviews listed. Accord Appliance is one of the worst companies Ive ever dealt with. Our washer broke on October 17, 2023. After numerous attempts at trying to reach someone at Accord Appliance and weeks of being told the same story, that the parts would be in the following week, Im done dealing with them. They hang up on us repeatedly and they dont have anyone in a supervisory roll. Basically they are running a scam operation. I am now writing letters of complaint directly to the *** of Lowes, where we purchased the Maytag washer along with their extended warranty division, the Better Business Bureau and the **************** of ******** Affairs, along with any other government agency I can find. Accord Appliance needs to be shut down.
