I dropped off my car for an estimate on Monday, July 11, 2022. The check engine light was on, I told them that the car battery had issues but I explained my car tends to stall too. The Department of Rehabilitation is the third party that was going to be responsible for the costs. I called Redd's Automotive the next day to check up on my car, but they didn't get back to me until Wednesday and simply said that they were waiting to hear back from the DOR, I emailed the Department of Rehabilitation and my case worker called me back, M******** said it wasn't a big estimate and I said this sounds wrong, she claimed that all it needed was an oil change and battery replacement, and she said there was a third thing that she couldn't explain, something about the timing. I knew the battery wasn't that old, I called J*** from Reed's Automotive, I spoke with Brian and told him to save me all the parts that were going to be replaced including the battery. I made sure to call John on Thursday to tell him to save me the battery, I asked him when I could pick up my car, and he said on Friday no later than 10 am. I picked it up on Friday, July 15, 2022, at around 9:50 am, I got home. When I was ready to go out I checked my glove box, I noticed my registration missing. The next day on Saturday when I drove more I noticed the rearview mirror had been replaced, there's a blindspot, my boyfriend and father confirmed it. I also noticed on Friday the speakers was not the same, my music didn't sound the same, I noticed it yesterday too when I was driving with my dad. I cannot believe this happened to me, I sent a message to Marinelle from DOR, and I told her I was upset. I told her just because it's a cheap estimate doesn't mean you should trust them, I feel violated. I just recently found out I am pregnant. I was raped two months ago, and I have been more cautious about my activity, I want my original parts, please help. Please do a full-blown investigation of this business.

We diagnosed the vehicle's issue. The vehicle is poorly maintained. The engine codes and stalling was due to poor oil condition and causing these check engine light codes for timing issue and causing the stalling. We also tested and found the a faulty battery. It was dated from 2019. We replaced the battery and now it starts. We performed an engine oil chemical cleaning treatment and changed the oil & filter. We road tested the vehicle a few times to get the engine noises to subside and to make sure the engine would not stall anymore. Now it is working as per specs when it left. We returned the vehicle to the cust. We did not take any payment from here.

We did not change, repair, take, steal anything on the vehicle that she is accusing us of. We have no reason to do that. The Department Of Rehabilitation is paying the Invoice. We have a good/ great outstanding reports with the State and all our customers. We will not change anything with out the consent of the customer or the Authorization of the D.O.R.

This Customer has called numerous times to accuse us off a lot of different things that we would never do or did. We don't know what to do about her and all these accusations.

Thank you for your help and keep us updated with what you find.

I am rejecting this response because: I have two witnesses that can vouch that my rearview mirror was replaced.  Reed's Automotive is lying, I have receipts of my car repairs and maintenance.  My battery was replaced in 2020, I don't know why they think it was replaced in 2019.  I attached the car battery receipt.  The last Subaru dealership that I took my vehicle to get an estimate, took pictures from every angle of my car, they would be able to justify what was taken and what was replaced.  Please do a full-blown investigation on Reed's Automotive, I am a victim of car repair fraud.

Reed's Automotive did not touch or replace the rear view mirror. I do not know why we are being accused of replacing it or being accused of any of the allocations she has brought up.. All we did to the vehicle is repair the customers vehicle concerns to get the engine running better for the concerns she brought them in for and the Department Or Transportation is paying for the invoice. We do not know when the old/ faulty battery was replaced. All we said is the battery had a date code from 2019. It tested bad and we replaced it. We put the old battery in the trunk on top of a floor mat as per the customers request. We do not know what or how to explain it any better than that. The engine running rough was corrected by an engine oil chemical treatment to clean out the sludge/ oil deposits and an oil change & filter replacement was performed. We erased the codes and road tested the vehicle numerous times to make sue the vehicle was running well. It left here running great and no check engine light at the time. We did not touch or repair any thing else. We didn't need to.

We are done with this issue. We did not do or replace any of the accusations the Customer is accusing us of.

I am rejecting this response because: I just want my original parts back.  This business is obviously lying.  I will be contacting the last Subaru I took my car into to see if they have stored pictures of my vehicle.  My rearview mirror that was taken from me was worth more and had more features.  If the BBB doesn't do an investigation I will take the business to small courts.  I do not have time to be accusing anyone, I know what happened to me, and this business needs to take responsibility for their actions.  I'd rather not take them to court, but if necessary I will make the time.
