Date: 12/09/23, Amount $1,507.23. When I took my car in on 12/4/23, I thought there was a problem with the bearings, which was making a grinding noise on the passenger's side. 3 days later I returned, and the Mgr. said "the good news is the back brakes are good, and the grinding noise is coming from the bearings", just as I told him. He showed me the cylinder on that side was leaking and since he is going to fix 1 wheel, he might as well fix both wheels, which I agreed to it. When I picked my car, on the first street light, I almost hit the car besides me, because when I pressed the brakes, the car jumped sharply to the right. I turned around, explained the issue and the Mgr. told me to drive it for a couple of days until the system adjusts. I tried it, but still does the same thing. I called the Mgr. and explained the situation, he now says it must be the suspension. There were no issues with my car's suspension. In addition they included a charge for a battery $134.37, which was not needed, and they put back the old battery, and said that they will refund me via check in the mail. Then they told me that the Alternator was not working, and they tried to sell me a $99 alternator for $497.59 +tax as displayed on the work order. When I took the car out, once again as they suggested, I stopped by the Auto Zone, and had them check the battery and the alternator, and they said that they were both good. However, when Auto Zone checked these items, they discovered there was a loose wire connected to the Alternator and I went back to Brake Masters to let them know this, and they agreed to return the money for the new battery, which I have not received yet. My complaint is not about the transaction amount, even though they inflated the cost of the parts and labor, but it is about the fact that my car is not working properly and I am stuck at home without transportation. Furthermore, I ended up with two brand new hoses, that they were never installed in the car, and that maybe creating the problem.
