I was visiting this site on 9/2/23 and paid the $1 to see the houses.i was charged a week later 9/9/23 for 49$ please please understand I didn't mean for any extra funds to be taken outBusiness response

Thank you for sharing with us our customer's concern. According to our records, the customer registered for a 7-day $1 trial offer on 8/23/2023. In accordance with the terms and conditions acknowledged by the customer, she was charged the monthly subscription fee after the trial expired.
Our Terms of Use and Pricing information is clearly displayed on our registration page, and we require our members to check the "I agree & approve" box, acknowledging that they have read and agreed to the terms before registering an account. Additionally, all new members are sent a Welcome email immediately confirming the activation of the account. The Welcome email also reiterates the subscription terms, including the trial end date and monthly subscription fee and provides the website login information.
Lastly, in order to register the account, the customer must provide a credit card number, including CVV for billing purposes, address, telephone number, and email address. The bank approved the credit card with the matching address. The telephone number and email address on the BBB complaint match the information used to register the account. We do not have access to this personal information.
Although the charge was valid, we have granted the customer a one-time courtesy refund. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.Initial Complaint

I tried the fee trial with RENTTOOWNUSA and cancelled before the trial ended. Since then, they have removed 2 months of fees on my bank account and now it's overdrawn. I already requested my first refund, did not get. Now it's month #2 and I am repeating the process again. I want my refund back of $49.95 & $49.95. plus an overdraft charge refunded since I cancelled prior of $74Business response

Thank you for sharing with us the concern of our customer. According to our records, the customer registered for a seven-day $1 trial offer on 4/13/2023. The customer never contacted us during the trial period to cancel the service. In accordance with the terms and conditions acknowledged by the customer, she was charged the monthly subscription fee of $49.60.
We track every contact to our call center. We do not have any record of a call or email from the customer until 7/21/2023. On 7/21/2023, we received an email requesting account cancellation. The account was discontinued promptly.
Note: we provide every customer with a cancellation number. The customer did not provide a cancellation number with her complaint.
Although the charge was valid, we have provided the customer with a refund of the membership fees. Please let us know if you require additional information.Initial Complaint

Like many other people, I CANCELED my subscription, & have been getting charged &49.60 for a premium subscription!!! FOR 2YEARS!! I don’t understand how this is continuing to happen to all of us, & they aren’t shut down?!! PLEASE HELP US!!! yourrent2own.com FLORIDA, I assume they are nation wide under similar names?! On 11/9/2022 I approved the $1.00 charge to view this service. I’m unaware of committing to any trial vs membership. I was charged an additional $49.60 on 11/14/2022. I’ve not visited nor used this service beyond the few minutes I browsed it on 11/9/2022. I absolutely do not nor intend to use this service. Upon investigating the issue, once I noted charges to my account, I discovered complaints of others having encountered the same issues. Also, this company apparently claims to offer a 7 day trial for $1.00, yet charged my account for $49.60 five days later. I need and expect this account to be closed immediately and to be refunded for the charges made to my account on 11/14/2022 in the amount of $49.60 please. Thank you for your help.Business response

Dear BBB,
The complaint states that the customer is unaware of subscribing to the service.
Our research indicates that the customer visited our website and registered for a 7-day $1.00 trial membership on June 6, 2022. The customer authorized the $49.60 monthly recurring charge by successfully completing all the necessary steps to complete the membership account registration. Our pricing information is clearly displayed on our registration page, and we require each member to click to accept that he/she agrees to the membership terms and conditions prior to creating the account. The terms and conditions also informed the member to cancel before the trial completes in order to avoid the monthly membership fee. Immediately following registration, the customer was sent a detailed welcome email that reiterated all important terms of membership, including how to cancel.
The customer never contacted us to cancel the subscription during the trial and, as a result, was billed according to the terms that were agreed to during registration. Although it is evident the customer knowingly created the account and agreed to the membership terms, our representative refunded the customer on July 24, 2022.We contacted the customer and provided the refund information. Please contact us if you have further questions.

Thank you for sharing with us the concern of our customer. According to our records, the customer registered for a seven-day $1 trial offer on 5/31/2021. The customer never contacted us during the trial period to cancel the service. In accordance with the terms and conditions acknowledged by the customer, he was charged the monthly subscription fee of $49.60 starting 6/7/2021. The customer’s daughter contacted us to cancel the service on 3/31/2022 and stated that her father does not use the service. The account was canceled. There was no request for any refund at this time.

We believe that the account is valid. In order to register the account, the customer provided a credit card number, including CVV for billing purposes, address, telephone number, and email address. The bank approved the credit card with the matching address. Furthermore, the IP address from which the customer visited our website had a geo-location consistent with the billing address submitted during registration. In addition, the email address and telephone number listed on the BBB complaints matched our records on file.
Our contact information appeared every month next to the transaction. We never received a call to cancel the subscription. After receiving the complaint, we reached out to the customer, but he has not returned our call. On 4/5/22, we refunded $198.40 to the credit card on record and left a message on his voicemail.

Lastly, in order to register the account the customer must provide a credit card number including CVV for billing purposes, address, telephone number and email address. The bank approved the credit card with the matching address. The telephone number and email address on the BBB complaint matches the information used to register the account. We do not have access to this personal information.
Although the charges are valid, we have agreed to grant a one-time courtesy refund of one month of service to the customer. A refund of $49.00 was processed on 12/24/2021. We contacted the customer and left a message regarding the refund.
