On July 5th 2021 I purchased 4 tickets for a film at AMC Theaters in Thousand Oaks CA. We also pre-purchased food and drink. The ticket charge was $30.56 plus a convenience fee of $7.96. The food charge was $54.45 plus a $2 delivery fee and $1 service fee. The total for all this was $100.14 and the order number is 457927410. Two hours before the film started we got an email from the manager (attached) stating the projector was broken and our showing was cancelled. The email directed us to request a refund on the AMC website and offered apologies. The website however assume you're canceling due to your own issue and will not refund the $7.96 service fee or the $3 in food fees. We called the theater and they told us to call (877) 262-4450 the next day because they are closed. This number is a recording that says to use the website and now it's too late to get any refund at all so we're out $100.14 with no recourse at all. There seems to be no way to contact anyone that can help.
