    I purchased a Shapeoko Pro July 19, 2023, we began having issues with the machine within the 1st month. This machine has had numerous issues with routers failing that we had to come out of pocket in March to purchase *** Spindle Kit. About a month after getting the *** Spindle Kit, the machine threw a spark and the *** Spindle Kit went down, I had to go back forth with the company for a little over a week, when they finally decided to let me send in the kit and for me to use a router until they could look at the machine even though it has a warranty on it, i should have been sent a spindle kit to use until they could get my other one fixed, but while using the router the machine failed again with homing switch issues and now the machine is working in reverse and will not come out of this. We have dealt with homing switch issues multiple times throughout the year along with multiple router failures. We would like either a new unit with an extended warranty time or refund and we can send machine back.

    This company will not speak to you in person for any issues or concerns you may have. You can sign up for an appointment by email, yet when you do get to speak to someone, they can not advise you on how to operate the machine. They treat you as if you should have already taken courses on advanced *** operation, but advertise their product for beginning hobbyists and small businesses. Past that, their equipment itself is under par. I ordered the Shapeoko Pro XXL, and it arrived late with a broken part. As per other negative reviews, they stated the replacement part would be overnighted, but took three days to arrive. The *** router that I purchased from them for the machine did not run smoothly straight from the box. The speed levels ramped up and down instead of staying constant, and the motor made high-pitched noises. This is before making contact with the material. It continued to worsen, and eventually smoke came out of the router. By email, because customer service will not contact you by phone so that you can have a Q&A with them, they replaced the router by warranty. That took two weeks to arrive, longer than stated again. Once it was installed, it too did not run smoothly from the box. I went out and purchased another manufacturer's router (which looks the same) and it operates as it should. I ordered the spindle the company offered (before the aftermarket router), and they charged me right away, yet 4 weeks later, I have yet to receive the spindle. I still not get anyone at the company to speak with me. Online forums are full of complaints about this company, and I feel I have been taken advantage of being a hobbyist / small business individual. There appears to be no recourse for their behavior, and I cannot afford legal action. So now I am out over $5000 and a year wasted in the attempt to start a *** small business.
