I am writing to file a complaint against Torrimed due to an ongoing billing issue that began on January 18th, when I visited the facility for a consultation regarding a bony protrusion from my jaw. During my visit, I was informed in the lobby that a CT scan was necessary, quoted at $250. Despite my inquiry about utilizing a recent CT scan from ******, **************** insisted on a more precise scan specific to their assessment needs. Consequently, I paid the $250 in cash and received a carbon copy receipt as proof of payment.Several months later, I was perplexed to receive a statement in the mail indicating an outstanding charge for the same CT scan. Upon contacting the office, I was assured the charge would be removed and no further statements would be sent. However, this promise was not upheld, as I received another statement thereafter. Upon my second call, the same assurance was given, yet, to my dismay, a third statement arrived recently.When I contacted the office most recently, I was informed that without the original receipt or the name of the individual I had initially spoken with, the charges could not be "written off." I was told unequivocally that "there was nothing they could do."This repeated oversight and lack of record-keeping on Torrimed's part is not only frustrating but also unjust, as it holds me accountable for their administrative errors. I have acted in good faith throughout this process, promptly addressing the statements and relying on the assurances given by the Torrimed staff. It is unreasonable to expect patients to retain every piece of paper, especially when they are given verbal assurances by the staff.I kindly request that the Better Business Bureau intervene on my behalf to resolve this matter. It is imperative that Torrimed acknowledges their oversight, rectifies the billing error, and improves their internal communication and record-keeping processes to prevent such incidents from recurring.Thank you Sincerely ****** **************
