I purchased a Berkey Water Filter, but it did not function properly from the start. Despite following all troubleshooting steps, the filter continued to have issues. When I reached out for a replacement, the process was ****** complicated and frustrating. Berkey made it extremely difficult to get a new product, leaving me dissatisfied with both their product and customer service.After weeks of getting the run around and trying 5 different things Berkey told me to try, the filter still does not work. Plain and simply, its a defective filter from the start. It never worked. It never even threaded into the water machine correctly. Berkey continues to give me the run around and make this process extremely difficult. They sent me a broken/defective product from the start. I wasnt even able to install the filter, as the threads arent even threaded properly. Im still stuck with no water, no replacement, no refund, and no resolution. At this point Im considering seeking legal action and disputing it with my bank if Berkey cannot get this handled.Business response

The filter does not work as they say. It no longer filters and Ive had it for two months. I have tried several times to contact them. No call back only an email they dont respond to.Business response

The product I bought was never delivered. They can see it was not delivered by *** by tracking it. They will mot refund me the money until they complete their investigation. This has been going on a month. I can provide an email showing all correspondence.Customer response

Meaning, we do not have a transaction. Kindly remove this complaint and advise him to identify where he bought it from.

I ordered a Berkey Water Filter and it was lost by ***** I called *** after seeing it was sitting in a distribution center for a very long time and they had marked it as lost and apparently didn't care to let me know but that's another issue. I can not for the life of me get in touch with anyone at Berkey Water Filter. I've emailed multiple times, called and left messages and have tried their live chat that "replies immediately" with of course, no response. It is within Berkey Water ************** to file a claim with *** and regain the money lost to send us a new filter. This clearly isn't going to happen as I can't even get a single response out of them. STAY AWAY from this distributor. And if they try to respond that I didn't use them as a distributor, they are full of it.Initial Complaint

We ordered a royal berkey and a spigot and it was stated that we should get a primer kit for free. it even says that on the invoice. well it did not come with the primer kit so there is no way to prime the filters effectively so it just sits here and we cannot use it. Customer service keeps saying we didnt order it from them even though we got the email and phone number from the invoice they emailed. their website says they will get back to you right away but that is a joke. Its been a week now and not even close to a resolution.Business response

We've checked this customer with their name, address, phone number, and email, however, we could not locate this customer in our database. We never state that " a primer kit for free" with any order. This customer has purchased the ********************** system from a different dealer and website. This customer needs to identify the seller and make a request with the shop he bought from.

She initially mentioned that she wanted to return the products due to her financial issues, which we have declined based on our return policy. We did give her a big discount refund as a courtesy. We mentioned that we only accept returns for defective items, and that's when she opened this complaint on BBB, noting that the spigot is now leaking.Initial Complaint

I purchased a Berkey sports bottle. I could not prime it. They do not accept exchanges if used...didn't use it other than trying to prime it. I consider this defective not used. Customer service is non-existent. I told them that I could not prime it and they should have on their website how difficult it is; especially if you have a disability, they suggested I have a relative do it for me. I am not going to have a relative drive half an hour every time I need it primed. Extremely disappointing customer service and response to an issue. I sent the bottle back but they would not refund my money.Business response
