On April 1, 2021 I purchased the Teen Driving Package from Ron's Driving School. This discounted package covered 3 2-hour driving ******s. Due to Covid we delayed my son's first ****** to July 1, 2021 when he was vaccinated. The second ****** was early 2022 but when we went to schedule the third and final ****** for August 4th, 2022 we were told the package had expired. We had to pay an additional $130 for the final ******. The receptionist explained that lots of people had made this mistake and they no longer sold the packages, If you go to their checkout page now the website has a big bold disclaimer stating "This package expires 1 year from the date of purchase!!" but this wasn't present when I placed my order. When I contact the owner *** about this he acknowledged it wasn't at checkout but said it was in the terms and conditions (which we all know nobody reads!). My complaint was a material fact was not disclosed at the time of purchase nor was it disclosed during the driving ******. The company clearly acknowledges the mistake and added the bold disclaimer and ultimately stopped selling packages but this cost me an additional $130 that I would like refunded.Business response

Please see the docs attached for more explanations.Hello,Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to Mr. ***************** complaint. We regret that our explanation to him regarding our Terms and Conditions was still not clear and acceptable.
We have been servicing the *****, Mountain House, *******, *******, and ******** areas for almost 17 years now. Since 2006, we have been offering a discounted rate for Teen Drivers Ed ****** and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel Training as a package. In 2020-2021 the package rate was $290. Our website also described at that time the options to purchase either the bundle/package or the ala cart for 2 hours per ****** ($115). Our package/service describes and lists what includes in each ******.Please see EXPLANATION PAGE 1 (additional docs attached)Mr. *********************** purchased the package online back on April 21, 2021. His son *************************** completed all 3 ******s during COVID dated 7/1/21,10/29/21, and the final ****** was on 8/4/22.Our office staff informed ****************** that we need to collect the 3rd ****** (final) for $130 (current rate) due to the package he purchased in 2021 has already expired. However, ****************** refused to pay and said that he was not aware that the Package expires after a year. Later that day, ****************************** called to pay for the 3rd ****** prior to her sons Driver Training.To place an order on our website, we require the buyer to complete the registration form providing us with the students information and billing information. The buyer is also required to click the CHECKBOX if they AGREE with our terms and conditions. Acceptance and adherence to the Terms and Conditions are required and without clicking the CHECKBOX, the transaction will not be completed.This is one way to protect our customers and our company. After ****************** paid and completed the purchase, he received the receipt via email. Please see EXPLANATION PAGE 3.Our services description and terms and conditions for packages did not change over the years. We answer all customer's questions and provide accurate information about our service. See EXPLANATION PAGE 2Due to the high cost of fuel, we decided to stop offering the Teen Drivers Ed ****** and the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel Training as a bundle/package. In May 2022, we started offering our 2-hour driving training as pay per ****** and on a first-come, first-serve basis. We require our customers to call our office first before placing the order online. Although, our website pages still say, packages expire 1 year from the date of purchase. This serves as a reference for customers who purchased the package before May 2022 and are still completing their Drivers' Training.Once again, thank you for your time in reviewing and reading our explanation and for bringing this to our attention.
