I wanted to give the hair salon a chance to fix the mess they made, but we are just not able to find a 4+ hour slot open in our schedules, and I'm giving up.I was supposed to get blonde balayage. At the consultation session prior to my appointment, I showed the stylist a photo of ******** she has done in the past (found on their Yelp page) and said I want my hair to be like this. The salon owner and the stylist said she can do it, but it'll take 4+ hours to get done given my natural hair color.After 6 hours and paying $450, I got orange/red-brown hair and barely any highlights, and it's all damaged. She said it'll take a while for the colors to settle, and that I should give it a week or so to see how it'll turn out. I waited 7 weeks and my hair turned to be completely orange-brown. I think most of you know how it feels to have a horrible hair day, you look at yourself in the mirror and it makes you go "ugh". I feel that way every day. I'm embarrassed of my hair so I wear my beanie every time I go out.I wish I paid more attention to this salon's bad reviews on Yelp, it seems they have a tendency to over-promise and under-deliver. When she was working on my hair, she also had 5-6 customers coming in and out and I felt her attention was all over the place, and maybe that contributed to this mess. She also does not speak English fluently and did not communicate so well. In my text messages with her after the service, she kept saying "I was concerned of the damage it'll cause your hair" and decided to not do the hair color she promised me at the consultation session. While I appreciate the thought, she can't do that without getting the customer's agreement. Unfortunately, I will never consider this stylist/salon again.
