I was contacted by Higher Level Processing, **** indicating that if I make a payment of $19.95 per month, (which I have been doing from July 14, 2016 - Present), that after twenty (20) payments; my student loan would be forgiven. To date, nothing has been forgiven and they continue to take $19.95 out of my account on a monthly basis. I have continually contacted them asking them to stop the payments, which they refuse. Therefore, I would like the total amount that I have paid ($1, 915.20) to date to be reimbursed since they have done nothing in terms of forgiving my student loans.

I am filing a complaint on the behalf of being misled. I was told I would only need to do 12 qualifying payments (I been paying monthly since 2022 of June or July-Monthly), except the last 2-3 months. Nothing has changed, Ive talked with multiple people and could not get my account ceased or payments stopped. I was told one price only for it to go up to about $70-$75 dollars! I have asked multiple times when will it be my last payment and this solved for good and still have not gotten a legit response, only that I need 12 qualifying payments, which is misleading because Ive been doing monthly payments. I also asked about getting refunded the money I have paid so far and I was told I could not get refunded which is definitely NOT TRUE. I would just like my money back, before seriously taking this a step father.

I have been a client with them for sometime. I thought everything was in order for my student loans to be on track to be taken care of. I kept getting the run around after I called to tell them that my student loan people were calling me and told me that they had never heard of higher level processing even though had paperwork. Needless to say I am out money, and had my tax refund garnished all because I trusted this company to handle my student loans.

I was solicited by Higher Level Processing about Student Loan Forgiveness, account #*******. It sounded great, but they kept (and still are attempting to) withdrawing money but I still have no news as to whether my loans have been forgiven. When I called my "former" Student Loan provider AES, they said that my loans have to be consolidated and I had only a short time to do so (a few days before October 31, 2022. *** said that I could do it myself and I did. Higher Level Processing did nothing. I called and said I wanted to terminate my relationship with them but have heard no response except a request for $24.95 that was declined because I discontinued the credit card it was automatically charging. How do I stop them from trying to take money from me for services that they did not provide? AES still has my account and that is fine. I want nothing to do with Higher Level Processing.

I have tried to cancel with Higher Level Processing after realizing they are a scam many months ago. They ignored my requests sent in reply to their emails and texts; they continued charging me and sending me direly-worded MUST RECERTIFY mailings threatening that my entire loan would be due immediately otherwise. They prey on student borrowers and supply misleading information about loan repayment programs and debt relief, claiming they are the only way to lower or forgive payments. Their website contains no option for cancelation or removing financial information like auto-payments and customer services repeatedly transfers to high-pressure retainer representatives.

After looking into Ms. ********* file there are no notes of her requesting to cancel via email nor text or calls. We were in communication with her on  07/22 and there was no request to cancel out services. We attempted calling, texting, and emailing several times with no response. We continued work as normal and the client engaged.  We will close out Ms. ********* account.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

      Thanks

They have been taking money out of my account for 2+ years saying that I am in the loan forgiveness program and this was not true. My loan balance has not changed during this time. Even through the pandemic when the government froze all loan payments, they continued to take money from me. I feel like this company should be sued

Higher Level Processing has been in business for 10 years because we do everything honestly and ethically.  We are very transparent when it comes to disclosing what we do for our clients.  We let all clients and potential clients know on multiple occasions that the services we offer they can do on their own.  Higher Level Processing has been actively assisting ****************** since 2020.  We consolidated her loans and was able to get her into active repayment for the past two years.  It seems like ****************** is confused with the process of the forgiveness program and how exactly it works.  We have closed out ************************ file per her request and she will no longer be charged or contacted.

On 7/21/21, I was contacted by Higher Level Processing (HLP) stating they offered loan forgiveness for nurses. I spent about an hour with the representative, and it was all very confusing, but he assured me if I refinanced through HLP, my federal student loans would be around $77. I agreed to contract with HLP, I was sent the email with the paperwork and returned it signed. A few months later I noticed there were charges of $149.17 being removed from my bank account by HLP. I contacted them asking why the $149.17 fee was higher than the $77 we had discussed on the phone. I was told there was a processing fee of $400 for refinancing but after that fee was paid, I would be charged the $77 I was promised. I was never told about this $400 fee and I assumed my payment of $77 was being removed from the $149.17. Since then, there have been several phone calls between me and HLP regarding different issues and I have never gotten clear answers. After speaking with a supervisor on 5/25/22, I have learned that HLP is actually a 3rd party who does not handle my student loans directly but simply the paperwork pertaining to my student loans. This was new information. The monthly $149.77 did not include the $77 towards my student loan and was just a processing fee that had nothing to do with the loans themselves. Now I would be charged $24.95/month for "maintenance" (which was also never discussed when I initially signed the contract.) I also learned that the processing fee was not actually $400 but $890! Not a single ***** of that has gone towards my student loans. In fact, my student loans have been in forbearance since August, which I was not aware of either. I have spent the last 10 months paying HLP a total of $964.85 for simply submitting paperwork to Navient (my new loan servicer) that I could have done myself. I feel completely scammed and manipulated. I signed the contract under entirely false pretenses and would like a refund of at least the $890 processing fee.

      To whom it may concern-

We have spoken to **************** on 6-7-22 and we both mutually agreed upon refunding half of her money.

That client was satisfied with the outcome.

      Thanks

april 4 2020 i was speaking with this company about my student loans and it sounded grate, turing my 22k loan in ro a 7k loan, the keep telling me over again that over tge long term i would end up paying 7k instead of 75k. however some time on the phone laterbegan to question their authority they sent me email documents i informed then that i couldnt sign with out talking to my partner first, i informed them of this several times. yet they continued to pressure to do an ******** signature on the documents, i have not sign the documents. and am now very skeptical of them they proposed that if i pay them about 149 a month for 6 months, then pay 25 dolllars a month for 24 months that then after 20 years or so i would ve debt free. i have not sign their documents yet not thinking they were not legit in the beginning of the call provided them with information. after the call i serched thier reviews on ****** and under a flood of 5 reviews that people were saying were fake saw people reveiwing them as fraud. i dont know what to do i dont have the money to be scamed, can they do anything with out my signature,

I was under the assumption that this company would consolidate my student loans. So far, all Ive done was give them information from my FAFSA account, employer, W-2s, and how much I owe in student loans. Before they provide service they want me to pay $165.83 for 3-4 months and then a subsequent smaller amount that would be taken from my bank account monthly. This is clearly a scam and I dont want them taking money from me any longer.
